Did anybody see that Luke Dollansky is entered in the 360 Nationals?

I know that Craig's youngest son Garrett (14 years old) races a midget in the Kenyon Series, but didn't know that Luke raced!? Anybody have any info on what he has raced and where?

Luke Dollansky raced at Petaluma Speedway on 6-28-08, he qualified 13.47, finished 6th in the 2nd heat & the Main Event he had car problem & went out. He was driving a white/orange car # 64. Whoe is Paul Dollanksy? He also raced that night. Paul was the 2ns fastest at 12.95, 6th in the 3rd heat & in the main car problem & went out too. He also in white/orange car # 61J.

Now both of these cars raced tonight July 12, 2008 at Petaluma Speedway with differnent in car #66/61J? (a man from Hawaii?) qualified 13.83% & Luke in 61J. He qualified 13.52. They raced the same Heat Race, the # 66 finished 4th & 61j finished 6th. The Main Evenet never finished after the 3rd lap due a serious flip of two cars 7B Brannon Asch & 84 Klint Simpson, both taken to the hospital.

I think it would be kinda hard for Luke to be in Cali on July 12th....

He was a team car with Josh Higday last night in 360's at Knoxville

Yes, its Craigs kid and he still lives in Minnesota. Hes racing out there for a few weeks getting time in on the dirt with his team.  Im pretty sure will be racing at the knoxville nationals.

High school starts right after Labor Day weekend here in Minnesota. Maybe Luke will have something lined up for Brainerd and Princeton the first weekend in October. He'd already have a lot of laps under his belt by that time.

After reading what Sandy64 wrote about Luke Dollansky I was very excited to see him race, and last night at knoxville I finally had the chance and Sandy you are so very right he is something special! I was so proud of how he did his first night on that track, 2nd in his heat, almost getting the lead after a restart, and was running I beleive 11th before his tire went down with 2 laps to go in the A-main, car was a bit loose though. Talked with him after the races and he said he loved the track and had a blast, he will return next Sat and than the 360 nationals. he is going to be very fun to watch as he has more seat time...he is going to be something special as Sandy said.

Isn't he just AWESOME!! I am so proud of him for last night!! He was just supposed to hotlap the car and not race. Evidently the guys thought he was good enough to race too! Craig was rained out at the Royal and listening to the Knoxville race on the computer. He said it was okay to let him run the heat race. Well then, he up and ran the Main too! Craig has not seen Luke actually race yet in person. We have sent him video's of all the races Luke was in out here in California. I CAN'T WAIT till Craig gets a chance to see him in person, he is having a hard time believing Luke is as good as he is for just starting out!!! I think "Cool Hand Luke" is a fabulous nickname for him, he is just as cool as a cucumber behind the wheel of a sprint car!!

Yes I was glad to hear Craig was able to listen on the web, I am friends with the family and was not going to attend knoxville last night until I recieved a call that he was racing and boy am I glad I went, We were told that he was probably going to tag on to the end of each race, so when he didnt it was great to see how well he did. I am very proud of Luke, and love the name Cool Hand Luke!

Luke has been staying at my house (Higday) and he has also been a part of the Snodgrass team. If you go onto knoxvilleraceway.com and go to the photo gallery, there are pictures of the car. It's a number twelve car and black with a silver tail-tank.

Before he came to our team, he had been in California racing for a family that owned a car.

-Luke had been entered in for 360 nationals, but as soon as my dad (Josh Higday) quit, Dwight told Luke he couldn't race. But coming from Luke today, he got a call from Dwight and Dwight has asked him to race for him in the #12 Snodgrass sprinter. So Luke will be racing the 360 Nationals as of today and qualifies Friday..

When did your dad quit the snodgrass team? He ran Saturday night as I recall. Is he running for someone else now???

He quit the Snodgrass team on Sunday afternoon.

Yes, he ran Saturday night, but barely made it out for the A-Main that night because Dwight made a last minute decision that then made the car barely usable because some major stuff was loose and put my dad's life in danger.

No, he is now running his own team. It's back to "Big Red" in the 24 car if we find a motor. But, if we find a complete car, it wouldn't be the Higday Motorsports deal.
