Not sure what you guys have against Justin, have met him twice after outlaw races and he seems like an alright guy. Anyone know why the Dud (is it Dude, or Dud?) wasn't at Husets last Sunday when Justin won, since he doesn't run with the WoO anymore? wink ?

Ahhh wingpole are you still upset because your girlfriend Justine did so poorly again with the WoO or was it you that forgot the bleeder in the wheel and your panties are in a bunch?

Typical D1 fan wants to fight but hides behind a screen name. So typical of the intelligence level of the D1 fan base. A bunch of bar room thugs. If you want to chat so bad come on up to Marshall and I will be glad to discuss your misguided views.

D1 go fast turn right!

Oh I forgot about racinbitch.

The #5 has never had any intentions of running Huset's full time.

Yes I deleted the entire post late last night. First I tried being selective because I also enjoy the race re-cap from Husets by Big J. But after a few more posts by some of the same characters I became tired of the selective process mainly because it just messes up the entire thread and dumped the whole thing. It had absolutely nothing to do with Big J but it did have to do with a personal accusation against a driver that was un-necessary. I have removed posts before when the comments get personal or when I am requested to take such action. No one asked me to remove anything this time but I did have a request for information about some posts on this board. I just pretty much get tired of some of the nonsense in here and sometimes the good goes down with the bad. I'm sorry about removing the initial post but sometimes I just run out of patience. How a great race results post turns into accusations about a driver is beyond me. I feel like a grade school teacher with a few of the people in here. Some people have been a problem on this message board in the past and I guess they have never changed. Talking about a driver doing something on the race track is never the problem. It's accusations about a driver off the track that can bring legal action that are the problem. There has been a message board here on Hoseheads for 10 years now and I have deleted many posts through the years and will continue to do the same in the future. The funny thing is I don't even own this board at all. I only link to it and I am lucky enough to moderate it. So post away but some of you paranoid posters out there remember big brother is watching you. One more thing...I promise not to delete Big J's Husets reports anymore and I think BRR should bring his PA reports back. See you at the races...Allan Holland

I did not even get a chance to read the original thread, other than the first few posts -- so I don't know how bad the thread got. But it was worse than the Posse bashing threads that are constantly posted on here by the same few people? I know just from talking with friends that I see weekly at the races that the board has definitely lost readers in recent years because of the constant bashing that is allowed to go on.

Thats because LaSuckski can't beat Dobby or your favorite, Mr. Henderson there anyways. And as far as the bitch part goes... the only thing you need to do to figure it out is look at the definition in the dictionary. Trust me... I looked earlier and I saw a picture of you..

Wow, I haven't heard the dictionary picture reference since I was twelve. Ahh the memories.

Wertz: I find it too bad, that as a business owner, who does do quality work, that you choose to represent yourself this way on a message board or in person. There are many drivers and car owners that I don't see eye to eye with or dislike, but they could come into my shop and I would treat them just as I treat everyone else. Why wouldn't you do the same for the good of your business? I respect your art, but ability will only take you so far my friend... It is sad to see someone of talent take the road that you are taking.

Ya know, if it weren't sprint car racing, your recaps wouldn't have any spice to them – and no one would be on a forum talking about it.

And you'll have to find out from a moderator why it was deleted.

But at least be thankful that there is a track you can go to have great 410 racing action to report on – even if at times its controversial...

As here in Texas, there is great ASCS-type racing action, but:

- TX has 8 times the population density of SD (SD has less than 800,000 residents, TX has in excess of 23.5 million)

- TX has 3.5 times the land mass than that of SD

And yet, there isn't even one 410 sprint show scheduled in the entire state of TX for 2008.

Again, without the spice of sprint car action on this forum, some of us would be left with going to a forum post such as this, to get this much action on a weekly basis:

"This past Tuesday's quilt club meeting was an utter atrocity! Mary Beth shown up, and get this, she put a stripe of non-geocentric designs right down the center of her County Fair quilt entry! Needless to say, we were all agasp over such a non-conformist display of misconduct and lack of appreciation for the Club procedures. If our team ends up not going to state this year because of it, that will be the first time since Judy Bell was crowned Corn Queen back in 1973!"

I wasn't trying to start something when I mentioned Huset's still having 410s when they've disappeared in other places.

I personally believe that if Huset's went to ASCS 360s and paid them the same money they now pay the 410s, there would have been a LOT more than 14 cars last Sunday night. BUT, I believe it won't work crowd-wise, because of the Knoxville Syndrome. Knoxville is a place where 200 360s would draw 200 fans. Huset's is probably in the same boat.

In 2002 they ran a 410 race at the late, great, Lake County Speedway in Madison, South Dakota. The place was standing room only. One fan I talked to was from Nunda, just 20 miles from Madison. He hadn't missed a race at Huset's in 20 years, (60 miles from his home), but it was his FIRST visit to Lake County in his entire life. Lake County ran 360s in their weekly program, but it wasn't enough to get this man to drive 20 miles, EVEN ONCE.

Thank goodness the Texas fans are willing to support SPRINT CAR racing, without looking under the hood first.

The basics to doing business in racing is if you give it to racers for free they love you (most times) charge them for it and you’re a bastard and 98% of motorsports business is not worth the hassle anyway as a racer will stab you in the back 1st chance he/she gets to save a $0.10. So I guess if a few people think I'm a bastard because I dislike Henderson not really a big deal. If people are basing their business decision on the fact that I dislike Henderson and don't look at all the other racers, organizations and charities that I have or do help they were not going to do business with me anyway. More than likely they are the annoying politically correct people that wave the self-righteous flag but never buy anything anyway.

Have a great day.

I don't think the issue is with you disliking Henderson - I think the issue is how you represent your dislike. I fully understand the basics of doing business in racing...maybe you've been tainted by the business more than me, but I don't find your assessment of the racing community to be true - and if you really did, why would you bother with any of it? Maybe some day I'll be bitter too, but I do know that I'll never air my issues on a message board.

I don't have great days, I MAKE them Smile
