I'm sorry, I'm a little slow.  I just got this joke.  Good one.

While the teams claim that they need more money to survive and prosper it seems NASCAR has a lot of extra money. I got this clip from an article off the internet today (Wednesday). NASCAR debuts new production facility (from NBC).

CONCORD, N.C. — NASCAR CEO Jim France cut the ceremonial red ribbon outside of a new facility located adjacent to the NASCAR R&D Center, officially kicking off a new era for NASCAR Productions.

The 58,000-square-foot building is the new state-of-the-art home of NASCAR Productions, NASCAR Studios and the Motor Racing Network. It houses more than 140 employees

The $53-million facility boasts eight control rooms, four audio control rooms, four announcer booths, eight editing suites, podcast studios and two audio sweetening rooms. There are three studios, the largest of which is 1,500 square feet.

So NASCAR has set themselves up to do a lot of the video production of racing themselves even after signing a long term big dollar contract with several TV networks. I wonder about the streaming portion of their deals?

Again the potential big flaw in the streaming world is the internet getting overloaded by streaming and such.  It takes a lot of bandwidth to stream HD video.

Just what we need is something else we used to get free now we will have to pay to see.
