Forget about Shaffer beating the Woo I think that was night they made him put an X beside his number because of Kinser and he peeled it off in victory lane. I don't disagree with you in anything you said but it seems like history is repeating itself and I'm not sure it's a good thing.

Hey Chad, I hope things are going well for you.  So far every track from Knoxville to River Cities is sticking with the Outlaws.  You are familiar with Cedar Lake's two-day Outlaw show and Knoxvillle running Saturday night.  I noticed that when High Limit put their schedule out that is one of the WoO weekends that they scheduled against a WoO race.  Excacy one of my first concerns.  We have been holding our own at thirty or so and in this part of the country needs every available car.  I think it's safe to admit that I don't have a good feeling about this new series based on that shitty move.  Of course they had to pick our weekend to throw a monkey wrench into the mix.  I would be happy to see more racing but so far this has every indication of watering down the High Limit race, the WoO race and the Knoxville weekly show that weekend:  I'm not seeing the positive impact on central Minnesota and western Wisconsin fans.

The WoO is a national series due to the simple fact that they get into most major sports markets like the Twin Cities.  I'm not seeing that with High Limit where they only get into Missouri and a couple unfamiliar Stock Car tracks in Iowa.

When USA raced at Battleground (Houston area), the WoO was up at Devil's Bowl.  I remember it getting the attention of the ESPN weekly racing show (remember that?  I forget the name, but Larry Nuber and Bob Jenkins hosted).

The schedule are out . A little different but racers have options and the High L:imit and WOO will both survive and the All-Stars are now HL Brad and Rico and Kyle will still be at the WOO races that will work for them so not much has changed except purses will be better than the ALL-STARS were before.Everybody wins but the WOO will have name recognition that is hard to compete with.

I think the entire High Limit series is a product of two things:  Brad Sweet wanting to spend more time on the west coast with family during the kids time off school; and Kyle Larson's desire to race sprints around his schedule.  Everyone else is just along for the ride.  Look at the schedule and prove me wrong. With the exception of July 13-23 centered around Eldora (and the big money that week from both series), High Limit isn't east of Missouri from Memorial Day to Labor Day.   And good on him if that's his motivation and he actually makes it a successful business venture.

This is a very interesting observation. If you don't like how the game is played, or the school principal for that matter, build your own playground and hire your own administrators. 

Problems solved. 

Why is it that we want all of our races to have more competition, but when a sanctioning body (WoO) faces some competition, that's a bad thing in many people's eyes?
 

If HL succeeds, we will have two top shelf sprint car sanctions. If they fail, the WoO will be stronger for having had to compete and step up their game.

From a fan experience perspective I don't have any problem with the Outlaws.  The reasons for starting High Limit from what I understand has to do more with streaming and issues regarding their four race rule and other Issues between drivers and WRG.  I feel like I'm being asked to take sides in someone else's labor dispute that is none of my damn business.

As I sit here and read this I ask why nobody has mentioned the fact that hi limit is just taking the place of the all stars. Oh this race is going up against this race. Didn't the all star schedule do the same ? They are going to the west coast and I'm sure will be banking on west coast heavy fields.  Also nobody has mentioned this new series that someone is attempting to do thru I'm guessing ohio, indiana and maybe pa. Fast series ? Personally I doubt if there is enough quality teams to attract fans. 

Everyone thought High Limit was going to war agaisnt the the WoO but it appears they are going to affect the ASCS and NARC more than the WoO.

How so?

I dont' ever recall this many 410 premier series races in the OK/TX/MO/KS (ASCS) area.  Are fans going to turn out and pay a premium for an ASCS 360 show or are they going to save their money for a WoO/High Limit 410 show?  CA isn't nearly as saturated with shows but both series are now making swings through NARC territory, with High Limit and the WoO pretty much setting up camp on the west coast for over a month of prime racing calendar space in Aug/Sept.

I'd go to both if possible. The money is not that much in the real world. Go to a NASCAR, NFL, NBA event.  Bend over pricing for tickets and everything else. Baseball is getting there too. Not sure about hockey.

Not really because high limit only picked up a handful of the all-star races - the highest paying ones. I don't really get why they needed to buy the series name only to end it.

So??? If they had just bought the All Stars, added a west coast swing justified by their personal love of their home state track and friends and upped the money to $10,000 a race, would we be having any of this discussion?
