You actually made several derogatory remarks about the track in that one thread so it was not a one off remark. And in that thread there is no mention of, "if they continue to prepare the track that way."

I wish I could find it but I can't - I hate asphalt dirt tracks and that is what Selinsgrove was the one night I went early this year. Kind of like that other track on the other side of 35 always asphalt!
The Nace Memorial the track was perfect all night long.

My point was, you hope the track continues. But a new promotional takes over and you puplically denagrate them the first time something dosen't suit you. The weather was terrible that weekend for keeping a track wet. Have ever given any thought to the harm you can do when denregrading a track while stating your facts? They had just started, the weather was bad and you have to discourage people from attending in your quest to be right.

Three strikes and you are out. That is why I went back. I am not going to sugar coat it for any track.... sorry for speaking what was right on the money!
I gave the other track 4 to 5 chances and they blew it every time.

Don't say you are sorry to me. You didn't hurt me at all. My life will not change one bit if Selinsgrove closes. You may have hurt the promotional team that you claim to hope is successful though.

And that's a shame if someone like this guy hurts a track or promotional team. But he won't care, he'll just keep firing off opinions and telling eveyone his opinions are facts. Opinions are like a .. holes. Everyone has one and many stink.
I will read and try to understand everyones post and opinion. That is what makes America great.
If a person cannot understand how the weather affects dirt track prepation as well as how the racing surface holds up they are stupid and/or blind. The race cars also have an affect on it as well.

The first 2 410 shows had the best racing. The rest were cushion parades. It's my home track so I hope it doesn't close. I know someone that races there who told me the last check they got from the speedway bounced. He said he got an apology letter and promise to make it good, but not a good sign. I'll have to ask if he ever got his money next time I see him. It's hard to keep a track going these days when you don't really have much of a weekly show. They are trying to keep it in the black with more 410 shows mainly on Sundays, but Baps has pretty much cornered the market of 410 dates after the 3 regular 410 tracks. There's only so many dates and cars to go around in an already over-saturated 410 market. I know she has a 10 year lease and they are trying their best but I have no idea what kind of financial backing they have. Making the track smaller would have been a great idea but it should have been done back when they had 358s/360's as the weekly class. Probably too late for that now, plus it would cost a lot of money.

I totally agree. The best time to shorten it was when Charlie Page still had a viable weekly program to work with. Those were the best days that track has seen in my lifetime. I think the heart is there with this current team. I think they truly care about the track and want to make it work. Whether or not they have the ability remains to be seen and as for money, it won't matter what they do if they don't have that. They've shown potential. Year 1 was up and down but they should have been able to learn a lot about what to do and what not to do. Hopefully they turn it around this year and get it headed the right way
