Just being truthful. Outside of PA what has he done in a sprintcar? Not much. What did he do when the big dogs came to PA? Not much. That to me is not a National hall of fame career.
Others have beat the best on multiple occasions. Todd did it once. Not looking at anything but stats. He deserves to be in the one at Lattimore. Not in the National one. Maybe someday. I think he is over 60 now. So he had at least 10 years to be voted in. That is why I said he will probably get in when they start running low on drivers to nominate.
Rahmer, Dewease, Hodnet, Krietz, Kauffman all beat the outlaws on multiple occasions.

I think it is hard to make a case that Shaffer would be undeserving of being in the NSCHoF when Glenn Fitzcharles is in there. Fitzcharles did nearly all of his Sprint Car winning with URC. When he went out to central PA, he was not much of a factor and has only a handful of 410 wins. Oh, and Fitzcharles has zero WoO wins.
Shaffer was one of the biggest winners in a hotbed of 410 racing for over 20 years. He clearly would not be the most questionable inductee from PA in the NSCHoF if he would get in.

Do I think Fitzcharles belongs in the National Hall. NO. Shaffer was a good driver not a great driver.....like DeWease, Hodnett, Kauffman, Kreitz, and Rahmer. I am only looking at stats here and his stats pail in comparison to these guys.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

I think the actual number of wins he had is 196 with 13 track championship. Those numbers were against weekly competition ( Rahmer, Dewease, Hodnet, Krietz, Kauffman ) all HOF members. Your reasoning on why he shouldn't be in is nothing less than I would expect from a fan of your ilk. Its true, he didnt travel much and did turn down WOO rides. I think he did have 3-4 wins in Australia when he went. I just dont understand why you have to be an asshole about everything, doesn't it get tiring?

The problem I see with Halls of Fame is they start out to honor beyond amazing people. Then there becomes an expectation to nominate an amount every year to feed its own reason to exist. When you go looking for people to nominate because you have "available nomintions" it gets watered down.
To me if there is much debate about a person being indicted, they are not worthy. People in halls of game should basically be shoe ins without debate, meaning the majority of non biased opinion simply agree they are worthy. No surprises to the die hard fan because the person has already earned the award in the minds of most.

Far better to be "inducted" than "indicted"!
I can think of one guy who might be indicted soon

Yea, and you will cry that he started it when anyone else does it. But I think you are right some guy named Joe might be.

I looked but couldn't find the list.
Who were all the nominees for the 2023 Hall of Fame?
Thanks in advance.

Yet he won 196 races and 13 track championships(3 WG, 5 PR, 4 SG, 1 Sharon) racing against those drivers. The only stat you are looking at is WOO wins. It's called the Nation Sprint Car Hall of Fame, not the World of Outlaws Hall of Fame.

Agree 100%, I was going to say the same, I just didn't feel like reading the " I speak the truth" " these are the facts" horse shit. if he claims to have been at the port as much as he said was when tthere was a cushion every Saturday night then he is very familiar with the 11,1,5,88 parked in VL. I don't know what this guys problem is but he really needs to go talk to someone. I failed and posted anyhow
410 INSIGHTS
"I really like his mechanic Jimmy Russel. He was the guy
that made Todd's car run good"

So anyone who retired before 1978 doesn't deserve to get in? Are you gonna say Ray Tilley doesn't deserve Hof status? How about Kramer Williamson? Isn't worthy enough for you? How about USAC? The woo woos didn't invent Sprint car racing bruh. Curb your arrogance and get a clue.

No, I said Fitzcharles didn't deserve to get in. Don't go putting words in my mouth.
If you want to have National recognition you better beat the best. That is what I am saying.
Raymond T. Shaffer didn't do that but once. Track title mean nothing been it comes to the National HOF.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

The point is you don't have a vote. People that know the sport do. All you have is an opinion.

Your logic is based on what you think it should be not what it was intended for. So answer the question does Ray Tilley deserve to be in or not. Simple question yes or no? No national wins so what is it all knowing everything Sprint car?

Todd Schaffer deserves to be in. Remember this, he did race against all the best racers pa had, and you know what ? He beat them all. He won track championships against the best, enough said.

I disagree. 10+ years have passed since he has been eligible. I guess I am not the only one that thinks he doesn't belong in the hall. He will get there someday when they start running low on drivers to induct.

I never saw Ray Tilley race. So I can't comment on Ray. I didn't start going to the races until 1983. You are the Bozo!
I did however see the rest of these guys race from Central PA and no Shaffer doesn't belong in the National HOF. Like I said.....he has been eligibel for over 10 years....yet still not in.....I wonder why?

I was raised in Millerstown. I actually cheered for Todd when Jimmy Russell wrenched for him. His stats don't add up to National HOF numbers.
