Mark's car chief has been talking with outlaw teams, he has told them he is not coming back on the road ! Why would Brent give up a good thing like he had this season. His schedule that he ran this season will make him more money then racing the outlaws.

Would not be surprised to see Marks back on the tour.

Why would he do that? He was mediocre on the tour & did great picking & choosing...

Is KKR still based out of North Carolina or did they move to indiana ? Remember Sweet resides in CA. Because of business I could see him dropping off the tour. What Marks did this year, 800k, I think made teams rethink things. I'm sure that the outlaw officials are watching closely.

Is that 800k number confimed anywhere?

No, it's $636k from SprintCarRatings.com
Marks likely made some extra money for PA speedweeks point fund but that was the extent of it.

I think the most likely car/driver to join the WOO would be Gio in the 18. I'd hate to see it because I've enjoyed seeing him run a true outlaw/pick and choose schedule, but there's no doubt in my mind that they would be a top 5 WOO team. One of the up and coming young guns for sure and he's shown that he can contend at any track against any competition. I guess you can say the same of Courtney as well plus he has the NOS sponsorship. Again I love the all-stars too and I'd hate to see them lose a top team. You can currently run the entire all-star schedule and still hit all the highest paying outlaw and unsanctioned races in the country. That's a good deal.

They mentioned it on air at the world finals. Whatever it is he did really well and with the races in 2023 paying better I'm sure teams are looking at doing the same. Almost everyday out there on the road takes its toll on crews I don't care who you are. I think what marks did only proves he was better prepared for the high dollars racss.

Watched Wing Nation this morning and Sweet sounded like he was considering running a true outlaw schedule. It makes sense because Sweet along with Larson would benefit from Sweet running all High Limit races.

I'd be surprised if any current WoO teams give up the full time perks to specifically run the WoO series (less the perks) and the High Limit series. I could see some of the smaller teams limiting their travel (west coast WoO) and picking up the HL. To me, those are two entirely different things. Yesterday Jennifer Marshall had a good conversation going on her Twitter, but one too many must have disagreed with her and it disappeared. If I had a WoO team and was looking for the easiest way to more funding, I'd be working on sponsorship and not bitching on social media.

Regardless of one's opinion of the Outlaws there is one thing that never comes up in these "true Outlaw" discussions. We know that the Outlaws and every talented driver will be at the big shows like Knoxville and Eldora. The smaller WoO shows might be a different story. There is no guarantee that teams running an open schedule are going to show up at the $10k shows that fill most of their schedule.
Anyone who was around watching Sprints before 1978 likely remembers attending races they thought their favorite driver would race at only to be let down when they didn't show up. The uncertainty for promoters wanting to spend advertising money on upcoming WoO races in the smaller markets would be a nightmare.
As far as the High Limit deal goes it's only a dozen mid week races so it's not a guarantee that it drivers would win enough to replace the lost revenue. I remember when the WoO teams wanted less mid week racing and started moving in that direction but can't recall the year. Seems like that was a dozen or so years back when there were more older drivers that lobbied for fewer mid week shows. I am not one to try and predict the future but I just wanted to point out some of the history and how we got to this place. I don't think it's accurate to compare Sprints to Late Models as there are a lot more of them and more than one touring series.

Marks has been on record saying he wished he ran the outlaw tour this year and would strongly consider it for next year. Interview with Jeremey Elliott earlier in the year

I wonder if the combination of the following might bring Marks, Courtney, Gio on the road:
- Removal of the spring Cali tour as has been discussed and replacing it with more races in Southeast/PA
- Sweet for whatever reason dropping off the full time circuit, leaving the championship wide open
- An expansion of the point fund and bonus/tow money in 2023.

the tweets may have disappeared after i pointed out the hypocrisy in one tweet saying something about not giving into socialism...and then another tweet about wanting more money out of the outlaws. it seems like she wants bernie sanders policies for herself but donald trump policies for everyone else. "pull yourself up by the boot straps" goes out the window when life is hard for you.
i love her race teams. she doesn't represent her teams well at all on social media.

apperently she doesn't have to work for a living so she just complains on twitter all day. Must be a pretty rough life she has.

Well the $27K+ in government welfare she got from the PPP prob helps in that regard.

Why have a banquet for a bunch of disgruntled circus clowns that aren't happy with all the tow money and perks, plus championship pays $200k to win, $50k for 10th. Teams fought with Outlaws for years to have lighter schedule with more big shows and then first chance they get try to run a whole second series. They could win half the high limit races and not make up difference for tow perks and point fund. Same as it ever was. 2 choices. Race big shows out of PA like Marks and many before him, or run the Outlaws. Same as it ever was. Outlaws spoiled and run up cost of racing for local teams and fans. They are saying jackasses have costs up to $9000 per race now.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car
much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com

Yeah what happened to the constant drumbeat of we want less races, but bigger races, meaningful, multi-day, but on weekends?
I don't think the WoO should let it's regulars run any HL races, keep that exclusivitity. Let the true Outlaws roam the land, joining the All Stars & locals to take this mid-week dough.
