The stage has already been set and the system will be rigged for the Knoxville Nationals to be Donny's 300th win. Then he will announce his retirement in victory lane. I know for a fact it will happen that way because my wife's uncle's brother-in-law's cousin read it on the internet. Remember, you heard it here first!

So much for that fact!

As much as I hate to, I think I'm becoming a Donny Schatz fan.... LOL.

Donny is my fave and I'm glad he got the win and that his parents were there. But he didn't really earn it. He was in the right spot to benefit from others misfortune and that's good and that's part of a lot of people's strategy.. I'd say he assumed the victory. I only point that out to say he hasnt become the dominate drive by everyone at will champion we have seen in the past.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

I totally agree, but a win is a win. There won't be an asterisk in the history books that will say others cars were faster and had flat tires or whatever. I'm happy enough for him and his dad too.

You said all that and it's just reinforced that he did in fact, earn it.

He probably wasn't the best car but he had Volusia sewn up with 2 to go before he broke. There's been a few others he's led until late in the race, so he was due. I'm surprised He hasn't been the Schatz of old, but he was definitely good enough to have 2-3 wins already.
