Have not checked this forum in months but it didn't disappoint. Larson on his way into Speedweeks swept the All Stars what 3 nights in a row, then swept the Outlaws at Knoxville, then won all but two races with USAC on their Speedweek, then he rolls into PA for Speedweek and has 1 win so far (in 7 races counting Port last week) and its the Posse who suck?

He is leading the PA sprint week points and I would not bet against him winning it. When has an outsider came in and won PA speedweek?  I didn't care for the slider he put on the 51 at Grandview but I guess he wanted it more than the other driver.

An outside has not won Speedweek before because the ASCOC and WoO are always racing against it so all of the teams with Outlaw calibur budgets, drivers, and operations are busy elsewhere. Obviously Kyle Larson is probably the best car in the country right now, I don't think there has ever been a time when the best car in the country ran speedweeks. The fact that he is leading the points based solely on consistency and not domination is a credit to the Posse who are apparently a much tougher opponent than all of USAC, the Outlaws, or the ASCOC.

I believe at this point Larson is -

4 for 8 (winning 50% of his starts) against the ASCOC this season (including winning his last 4 races in a row up until Port Royal last week which was won by a Posse driver)

3 for 10 (winning 30% of his starts) against the Outlaws this season (including winning his last 2 races in a row against them)

4 for 6 (winning 66% of his starts) against USAC this season all during Midget week (5 for 7 this season in a midget I believe counting the Chili Bowl)

1 for 7 (winning 15% of his starts) in Pennsylvania so far this season

As I said, right now there is no doubt Larson is the best car in the country right now. But if anyone is going to shit on the Posse because they are getting beat by Larson they also need to shit on pretty much every other group of dirt racers in the country because he is smoking everyone, in most cases much worse than he has PA.

Thanks  for saving me some research & typing. He beats everyone, Posse is doing OK.

Clearly the best all around dirt track racer right now (all time is another whole discussion..)

Larson isn't going to be labeled a "clean" driver anytime soon. That was cheap what he did to Marks tonight.

I don't know about that. Looked like they were both going for the same line & Larson got the best of it

Larson is the best race car driver in North America right now. Laughable how people degraded him by his NASCRAP performance driving for a highly underperforming team in a sport rigged by Toyota. But hey, we all know that ain't real racing.

Also laughable he was considered a racist.  Corporate hypocrites I'm almost sure of. Glad to see the accolades he deserves for his "bionic" driving talent. I'm sure it's desire to win and, NOT dirty driving. Do you really think that is part of his skill set. Hes brought a lot of attention to open wheel racing as of late, for the better I'm sure of this. Now. Please go away Covid-19 so we can all go back to the dirt tracks.

  From central coast of Cali.
   Peace, Out.

I am not sure the attention is all good. You hear some pretty odd ideas on how sprint car racing could be improved from some of the NASCAR followers. I have never been as big of a fan of the NASCAR money in sprint car racing as some are. Contrary to the thoughts of some. Pa. might not beat the touring groups as often now but week in and week out we have better racing than we had with the deep pocket car owners that we had in the past. At least now when we go we know more than 2 or 3 guys have a chance to win.

Larson will probably jump over to ohio sprint speedweek. Won't be surprised one bit if he wins that deal. Think he will be down 2 races, uphill battle. I wonder how much money he's won since his nascrap departure ?

He has won about as much in sprint cars so far as two start and parks would have gotten him in NASCAR. He is not staying here if an opportunity comes up in NASCAR. Having fun is one thing, setting yourself up for life and then having fun is better. Everyone in the stands at a sprint car race would do the same.

If Larson don't show up tonight and Deitrich gets the max points possible, Larson wins speedweek by 1 point.  What's the point fund pay for PA speedweek anyways?

They don't pay "start and park" guys near as much as they once did. Those guys probably make what the top Outlaw guys do, of course they are at the bottom of their profession and Sweet and those guys are at the top of theirs.
