Yeah, rereading my comment makes it sound like I'm downplaying his comment and that wasnt my intent. It was truly a stupefying statement by him regarding Rahmer last year.

What did he say?
I like to watch them race, don't really follow "who said what about who"....

I'm paraphrasing here but someone (I think Fred) came up to him under a red flag and said something about Freddie could've gotten hurt or worse, and Danny said who cares.

Little Freddie I think actually got knocked out. I was there that night and the car hit the turn 4 wall HARD. If the contact didn’t knock him out it definitely knocked him senseless for a bit. The car flipped and landed right side up and either the throttle stuck wide open or he was out and his foot rested on it. Thankfully the car was damaged bad enough it didn’t go anyplace and the track workers were there to shut it down. If memory serves correct I think he went to the hospital afterward
As far as the comment that was made. I didn’t hear the comment, but I saw the end of the scuffle in the pits afterward and heard various folks talking about what was said and I’ll say this... You never talk shit about somebody or somebody’s kid when they are hurt.

I know there was no such thing as Twitter and Facebook a generation ago. Old Man Dietrich wasn't the driver that the kid is, but he always seemed a lot classier, IMO.

Dan is a hell of a nice guy. Never talked to Wanda but from what I've seen people seem to like her. Got to talk to Dan standing in line at the pisser at Williams Grove a few years back right before he had the stroke. He was totally cool and very friendly.

Freddie was knocked out for a few seconds and then came to. It was a solid hit and an all around scary incident. As far as what was said, 2 very trusted friends of mine heard it with their own ears and texted me about it before they even towed the 51 off the track. They couldn't believe it.
