Freddie is getting better every time I see him.  Last night holding off Larson was worth the price of admission, such a young talent.  The big question, when will Dad let him hit the road? Couple more years of seasoning and a bit more travelling will really help his growth, definitely the next Posse man to hit the highway and show his talents I hope....

Nice to see the travellers have 2/3 of the podium for the third feature in a row in Posseville...

First I want to say I am a posse fan.

When we get our butts beat I take my hat off to whoever can do it.  Having said all that don't go bringing up facts it makes some on here very nervous and then when they don't have any leg to stand on they will start calling you names.  The simple truth, some on here can't handle the truth!

Well, let me say this...I am NOT a posse fan. Just because I am originally from central Pa, doesn't make me a Posse fan. I have no t-shirts of any Posse driver, my closet is filled with 40 years of Sammy Swindell shirts. But when I see douchebags on here just shit on the Posse drivers because they are jealous haters of their success, it pisses me off.  When they brag about the Posse getting beat, but are dead silent when the Posse wins, they show that they truly are just trouble making fools. I hear no one mentioning last night, as an example. Hmmm, wonder why?? Oh that's right, Posse won both features, lol. So there is no "Posse sucks" drum beating to be heard. It's laughable really. Just as laughable as you knocking Port on a regular basis yet you haven't been there in years.

Why would Rahmer want his kid on the road ? Fast Freddie made a good deal of money running local over the years. As for LD and DBsr. Cherry picking. REALLY ? Those guys are having fun, and yes they are taking as many trophies and pay checks home as they can. Enjoy what's going on when the 69k pulls into the pits. If Lance or Davey decide they've had enough I think it would be over.

Cherry picking?  I must have a different definition of that. I  don’t consider cherry picking showing up at the biggest races with the biggest payouts & often some of the toughest competition Cherry picking.  I would, however, consider it cherry picking when a guy doesn’t show up to a big paying race at  One local track to go to another track close by and try to pick up a win because some of the toughest competition is at said big paying race.  Have I stirred up enough poop yet LOL.

You my friend are not just out of it, but blind also.  "I hear no one mentioning last night" and yet the previous post, yes the one right ahead of yours is me complimenting Freddie on his big win.  Credibility has gone from very little to ZERO, do yourself a big favor and go back and read ALL the previous posts in this thread and get with the program.  I'll see you again about Thansgiving I'm guessing.....

When a guys puts a team together i think their first goal is to have fun and a very close 2nd is win. Who says any team must travel and who says its wrong to pick and choose? I mean who with any real authority. Wether they do cherry pick or not what is wrong with what they do? They pay their entry fee and likely dont cheat anymore than the other teams on the infield so have at it. Go where you wanna go and do what you wanna do.

Hasnt this sport kind evolved thru teams doing their own thing their own way until businessmen cast a net to control those they could for their own profit cause they would rather control teams than own one. That again is just the business mans choice in a free society. People dont have to buy a woo gold card or sign on with a sanctioning body.

Even though I may not know you, I

I think the real point is this.....there is nothing wrong with being proud of your home town racers no matter where you live. But continual bragging and chest thumping because your top local wins an occasional sprint car race at home against the Outlaws or All Stars doesn't add up to shit without venturing away from home and doing it elsewhere. Screw the excuses. Doesn't matter why they don't travel.....they don't.  As for the PA Posse scene.... Yeh, there is some up and coming young talent there. But as long as the old locals and WoO castoffs are able to win there in Posse land at the rate they do, I'd say the Posse is in a rather weak period. I know.....there are a couple young guys with some key wins at home....yadda yadda yaddda.......but that doesn't relate to the toughest competition anywhere as some of the Posse fans would like to believe. As for young Freddie Rahmer, he could develope in to a hell of a racer. But not if daddy don't let him go. If he doesn't have the competitive juices to want to chase and race with the best in the business, then he will never be anything more than a good local racer.  And even then, with the ridiculous configuration of Williams Grove being the top feather in the cap, being a top local is tarnished. So go ahead Posse fans and give me hell for this post......but quit telling me what your boys are capable of doing elsewhere until they actually go do it. Right now your national pride should be solely directed at the SHARK TEAMS (they deserve caps). They are out there doing it the hardest way possible, and getting stronger all the time. And damn right I root for them!!!  Winning breeds winning, and as soon as Jacob gets that first one........both teams will take another step upwards imo. So as you Posse fans can see....I'm not a Posse hater at all.......I've just never had much time for braggers. Bragging is the first sign of something more important missing.

Just this week, Gerard McIntyre, certainly not the best driver in Posse land right now, went out on the road ad beat the All-Stars in New York.. Of course, that result is met with crickets. Instead, the same predictable posters on here show up to bash away.

There’s a lot to digest here so I don’t even know where to start.

I don’t see any chest thumping or bragging, just a response to some posse hating comments.

There is a large segment of sprint car fans in this neck of the woods who would much rather spend their $$$ to see a regular weekly show or an all star show than an outlaw show. Personally, I can live without the WoO.

As far as traveling. I been following a thread on this forum about how the Knoxville locals don’t travel with  all kind of excuses why. Arguably Knoxville has the best group of locals in the nation, yet I see no complaints about them not getting out on the road. Same with Ohio. It’s always “ the Posse doesn’t  travel”.  Well, when you can run a hundred races a season and sleep in your own bed, maybe it makes sense to stay on the porch. Apparently that’s what most of the Posse car owners think as well and they’re paying the bills.

Rediculous configuration of the Grove is your excuse for outsiders not winning. Sure it’s the only track in the entire country that presents a challenge to drivers he (sarcasm intended). Last time I checked it has two straight stretches and four turns.

My head hurts!

Watching Larson come from the back to 6 was the show in a 25 lapper he was sure top five and maybe podium.Made a big difference in the 69k having to come from the back sure he just gave up when he wasnt going anywhere hope Freddie had a problem and didnt just pull in hes in a point battle and needs the expierence.

Not sure about your statement regarding Knoxville regulars not travelling. Ian went WoO, Kerry, McCarl, Brown, Tatnell........ quite a few of the guys put some miles between them and the Knoxville track to race. As far away as CA and PA have seen our top drivers in recent years. And as far as the competition at Knoxville, I'd say the level has fallen off quite a bit.  We've lost Ian, Dollansky, Lasoski, Kaeding, Henderson, Zomer, Dobmiere......those are some pretty potent losses for a weekly show to lose. As for runnng a hundred races a season and sleeping in their own beds, not sure who is doing that. Dewease shows a total of 66 races over the last two years running, and he's in the busiest sprint car section of the country. So yeah, he enjoys his own pillow  So he's really the only one from there that seems tied to the porch really, but too, he's the one getting most of the praise. Guys like Hodnett and Dietrich who do travel have over 150 races in that same time period. And again, with what, four tracks to choose from in central PA, and the longest race season in the country?  March til when? So they can stay preal busy at home, also. But those two do travel, and a few others do too, that have over 100 races over the past couple years. As for the Dewease/Hodnett comparisons, on the road for any length of time at all and my money is on Hodnett. I think he's the better driver of the two. At home the nod goes to the 69k team, not the driver imo. Anyhow, Kerry Madsen and Brown have over 100 races over the past two years running with just two tracks that run about 13 events each for the season. So thay have to travel more. Not all of us that comment are haters. That's a pretty strong word. And the world knows that Williams Grove is not your typical two straight stretches and four corners dirt track, so no need to try and sell anything generic about the Grove at all.  And I'm with you, I dont need the WoO to enjoy a sprint car race, either.

Dang, 1 Posse in the top 5, a serious dose of reality there.  But not to fear all you Cheerleaders, it's back to the Porch tonite and the greatest cherry picker of all-time will be back to save you guys, yes the return of Lance is a given I am guessing.  Would be nice to see the dreadful All-Star record there change but it might take a miracle at the very least, here's hoping.  Two track Lance has gotta be the big fav though, here's hoping for a change....

As Archie Bunker so aptly put it.....YOU, ARE A MEATHEAD!

It doesn't change my paycheck at the end of the week one damn bit who wins, so as long as it's a good race, I don't care.  I think I must have been sitting near you the other night as I smelled the shit you are stirring.  Give it a rest, please.  Thank you kindly!

I have been rattling the Cheerleader chains in this forum for 20 + years.  Nobody takes the bait or confuses reality more than the Posse Pom Pom  team.  Be thankful you still have some decent owners in Central PA even tho' the vast majority are gone, this is hurting weekly racing as much as anything.  The good ol' days are slowly fadind as the majority of racefans age quicly it seems.  Live horse racing and boxing have brcome dinosaurs, is Sprint Car Racing headed that way???

I guess you didn't see my post when DeWease passed Schatz for the win at Williamsgrove earlier this year.....did you? I am a posse fan through and through. My favorite driver passed away about 9 years ago. However there is only one current posse driver I wouldn't cheer for if it came down between him and an outlaw or allstar.  I will not mention his name, but I he is cut from the same mold as the swindler.  You being a Swindell fan explains a lot.    I don't have any respect for the Slammer! I watched him hit too many cars on the track and being a total jerk after the races are over....when he gets beat.

I was at Port once last year and multiple times the year before.  Last year was there last chance for me.  The track was used up before time trials the night I was there.    For most of the cars the lap times in TT were in the mid 18's to low 19 second brackets.  I vowed I would never go back until they learned how to prepare the track.  And that hasn't happened yet.

This has happened way too many times when I have been present.....they need to get there act together and learn how to prepare that track.

For the record I don't hate Port.  They have one of if not the nicest facility in central PA.  I don't go to the races for the facility.

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Its simple. Everybody knows the Posse doesn't set the world on fire when they travel, tho some of them do well

But I don't think any other area beats WoO as often on their home turf. Right now I'm too tired to check the numbers.... if anyone else feels like it, have at it

Let me start by saying that I am not, never have been and never will be a Lance Dewease fan but you dumb shits calling that team Cherry Pickers have got to be Dumb, Dumber, and Dumbest. They only show up at races where the best around, locals, AllStars and Outlaws are there and have a pretty damned good winning record in the process. Yea I know they didn't go to Knoxville. Cry me a river over that.  As for Hodnett and Wolf at Port, Hodnett said early in the season that they were chasing points this year, why I guess is more their busines than ours. For Wolf I hate to inform you but they could be preparing for the next couple of months because contrary to what some think if you want to make money racing sprint cars in Pa. Port is the place to be.

Here's the difference, I am a Lance fan and I Wish he woulld have been to Grandview and Lincoln, local races against some out of town racers. They can cherry pick, they have earned that over the yers but it is disappointing to watch him no-show everywhere but the Grove.........
