In a fight I'll take Donny over pipe cleaner arms Sheldon, and a couple radius rods won't keep the 93 team off the road.   I read posts regularly about what big balls the drivers have, and what bad asses they are, and now I read complaints about Donny rubbing wheels against Jason Johnson last year.  I feel my testosterone draining just reading these comments from some of you fruit loops.  Sit in the stands and have another Shirley Temple on me.

So is Donny a no-personality having dolt or is he a passionate homicdal maniac who despises loosing? I'm confused. What do you people want? 

Haven't seen any video, only thing I have seen is comments (on here and on press releases).  Seems that the story is different everywhere I see it.  One place says Donny tapped the rear of Sheldon's car (kinda hard to take out the front axle that way), others just say that they got together after the race was over.

I'll reserve judgement until I see video of the incident.  The fact that Lil' Haud didn't cause a big scene tells me that maybe he knew he had some payback coming.....but, none of us will ever know for sure.

Looked like Sheldon had a clean slide job set up and had to "cut it short" or slide up early because Gravel was closer then expected maybe, so essentially Sheldon slid Don Don and then had to slide up early to avoid Graval, thus "splitting" between the two cars.  Not sure Donny realized he cut the slid job short because of how close Gravel was and he was out of room.  Donny checked up.  Did he Sheldon "crowd" him, yeah, but it was a racing deal. He didn't punt him.  Just a real close slidejob.  Wasn't completely clear, not the cleanest (though there was no contact) but eh happens almost every night at the track. I have a feeling this is cumulative and maybe Sheldon has had these "close calls" before, which let's be honest he has, it's his style (not saying good or bad).

Donny shouldn't have chopped him after the race, but again eh heat of the moment. Sucks the front axle was damaged. 

We all live to see another day. As far as people on here going completely bananas over this. Relax. We know you don't like Donny so this feeds your rhetoric, but take a deep breath.  It happens more than you think (and you're probably the same people who reflect so fondly when Hewitt or Sammy did it - "you don't crowd Hewitt, he'll let you have it...").  If you're really that upset tell him in the pits before or after the next race.

I mean I love the passion man, I do, but the hyperbole here is just, wow.  I'm gonna guess you weren't ever a Don Don fan and this just helps fuel your hatred fire. 

Things aren't this bad man, take a breath.  Sucks it happened, sucks Sheldon lost a front axle, sucks Donny reacted in a heated moment.  But these things happen on the race track sometimes, and no not very often with Donny.  Bad deal, but they'll race this week and it'll blow over.

Did not see Donny's incident, but any retaliation after checkers should be a DQ, IMHO

I wonder how you would describe Sammy and some of his acts over the years? 

I like Donny Schatz more each day...and I don't care what anybody says.

I do remember the wild thing take out several cars in what a seasoned announcer might call "an ill advised move" in T3 of the Grove on the first night of speedweek a few years ago in the Wintermeyer car...the car and driver did not run ANY of the remaining shows.

Meanwhile...many of the regulars in Area 51 say the #15 is one of the fastest and cleanest drivers they have ever seen.

the 93...well...has been known to run multiple grooves simultaneously...

I was Attica and Philo was DQ'd pretty much immeadietly. Kemenah was also DQ'd for post race actions as well although I'm not sure on the specificities of his. I thought it was odd that two of these incidents popped up so close together. I'd never seen it happen once let alone twice in one weekend. Philo didn't run at Fremont or at Mansfield for either of the next nights which typically I'd expect him to. Note, Fremont was FAST/OSCS not an all star show so I'd say there is nothing further than the one DQ as punishment for either driver.

I agree. I'm sorta from the Jack Hewitt school of thinking. You never retaliate on the track. If you need to punch them in the mouth in the pits that's another story.

Problem today is you get in more trouble for that than using your car on the track. Rough drivers don't care as much about maybe getting a little car damage afterward. They might have a different attitude if it was their nose in danger. But they know that's not likely to happen. 

Running the 93 over after the checkered flag might not have been the most professional thing to do but to call Shledon's pass "clean" isn't accurate in my opinion. There might not have been any contact but there isn't many drivers out there that would call that a clean pass. 

Dude, gtfoh. He has proven he belongs with the Outlaws. How many times have you seen him run? Unless you live in Ohio, don't tell me "a bunch of times". Sounds like his highness King Schatz got it handed to him a little. Go Sheldon!

Fucking Sammy Swindell would! Sheldon passed both of them and didn't touch either one. Pretty sure I've seen passes involving other drivers where contact would have been made in the process of both passes and more often than not with Swindell. Schatz's deal after the checkers is more reminiscent of Sammy as well so not sure wtf his deal was. Hopefully he can get his shit together because it looks like he has some talent to contend with this season.

This is a classic David vs Goliath story and of course Sheldon will get the majority of the support. My guess is this has been brewing for a while as Sheldon regularly gets in over his head if you just look at how many times he's spun out by himself in the month of May. I like him a lot and am really excited he's on the tour, but he's bound to ruffle a few feathers. 

I agree, Sammy would call it a clean pass, but only if he was doing the passing. If it was him getting passed in that manner, it wouldn't be a clean pass and he'd probably say something like "That boy needs to learn how it works out here".

This is correct. Except if Sammy was doing the passing he would've just punted him and still called it clean Sort of like he did to Thorson at the World Finals 2 years ago. That was a nasty one...
