If your heading to B.M.S. for the Silver Shootout this Saturday night, be sure to stop by the Red Rock Bar n Grill on the way!
Theyre having a Pre Party 2 PM- 7 PM with Live outdoor music and food vendors. Outdoor beer garden. Come enjoy the new patio furniture or Bring a lawn chair!
Might even win some tickets to the races that night!

Again, I have no dog in this fight, but I find it funny that when it was confirmed that Chuck was giving a named driver some "incentives" for racing at BD last year, he had a few on here that always defended him. Now, when a few of the same drivers are staying at Knoxville this year to run for points, the same posters who defended Chuck last year (who was pretty openly paying drivers) are now accusing Knoxville without confirmation or proof, of doing the same thing, and making it sound like its a dirty underhanded practice.

It's called sarcasm, however with Knoxville only getting about 19 410's a week they may be a little desperate, pretty good paying show for someone who is not running for points and runs pretty good at BMS to pass up for both Madsen's.

They've had 20, 23 and 24 cars show up. I see your point though about 4 or so guys wouldn't be regulars at Knoxville all season. I'm gonna think the owners/drivers made their own decisions unless there is actual proof otherwise.

Can somebody clarify one thing for me? Is BMS running a full season, or still just the 6 races? As influential as the purse money, is season points, and every other track that may compete with the Silver Shootout is likely running a season points race.
|
Only 6 races at BMS (Husets) this year and only 4 are sprint car races and two of those 4 are WoO shows.

Just the 6 races. Keep in mind, that ultimately, having a points race-and especialy a points fund- is to give drivers a reason to be be loyal to a track.

My point exactly.

you know what....no I can't because I don't care enough to go back through 14 month old threads on here. However if you go back and look up the comments from a particular driver from Iowa last year when he was talking about committing to running BMS there was little room for interpretation. And it didn't bother me then and it doesn't bother me now if others do it. They can run their business however they think they need to to succeed as long as its legal.

Knoxville has one of the best point fund and awards banquet of any weekly show. The tires I would guess come from Hoosier. If they paid just one driver it would come back to haunt them . Knoxville didnt start this problem with BMS and will continue to be one of the best weekly sprint car tracks in the USA.Dunkles and safety crew plus new manager are all pluses.

Why would there be outrage if every 410 team recieves the same perk, and not just a select few? As well as an incentive, it would seem to be a financial assist to ALL the 410 teams that run at Knoxville.

Thanks! Confirms I'm not crazy (well at least in this specific instance) and I did in fact see Badlands on his schedule when I looked (and posted in this and another thread) multiple times this week. It was changed to Kville after I posted here.

Pit pass is $25 so $250 for those and I googled rear Hoosiers at $125. So around $375 savings for the team.
My guess is Chuckie will annouce a $10K bonus the night of the Silver Cup.... drops that much at the tables in Vegas!

$100k Silver Shootout at a track that is running special events only and we hve a repeat of 2016 handringing from several hundred miles away as though an elevated purse for racers will give you poison ivy?
Can you name one other track laying out this kind of money for 410 that only has 4 races on the calendar?
