It's not that there's tracks and/or organizations competing against each other. Competition is a good thing. But no one can deny Chuck declared war on Knoxville and war is NEVER a good thing. He had no reason to do it but he chose to for whatever reason. I don't hate the guy, in fact, I think that the extra money he's giving to the teams is a great thing. We need more of that but whether you're a Knoxville guy or a Badlands guy, you can't deny there is a war going on and Chuck was the one who fired the opening shot with his comments over the offseason and then his actions afterwards. I don't want to see anyone fail. I just hope for the sake of all the fans and the teams out there that this all calms down and that this war can end with no casualties. Unfortunately, one other fact is that Chuck has a huge ego and I don't think it's going to end well. Not sure who will "win" but something has to give eventually.

In the end Knoxville will win.

Knoxville has tradition and prestige on their side.    Chuck will either run out of Chuck Bucks or just flat out lose interest.

Chucks track is not running in the black.    He has one very profitable endeavor that is one ballot initiative from having the state shut the spigot off.

There is no doubt that qualifying for the front row was worth some serious Chuck Buck$ just for showing up at Wastelands.

There is no other reason to pull out after qualifying for the front row.    He didn't need laps in a 360 car to shake out his 410 car for next week.

Does it look like 17W Brian Clauson is also out of the A-main line-up?

I beleive Clauson's schedule always said he would be at Belleville

With the money on the line for Henderson at Badlands with the duel points fund, and him in the running I totally understand his being there. But as I stated with Rico last year, and we all have our opinions, if you know you're not going to compete on the final night, why enter to begin with? They're sure not doing right by their fans that expect to see them there.

Why is nobady complaing about the Woo Runing agaist the 360 nationals or the Mowa or IRA.  The are all 410 clubs running within 400 miles of the 360 nationals.

Henderson has been running for points all year why wouldn't he be at Badlands.

Just let it go...

How many of the tracks/"clubs" running shows tonight have drivers that used to be regulars on Saturday nights in past years?

How many of the tracks/"clubs" running shows tonight had drivers that came to Knoxville Thursday or Friday for 360 qualifying nights?

How many of the tracks/"clubs" running shows tonight paid higher purses and points simply because the 360 Nationals were running as well?

How many of the tracks/"clubs" running shows tonight have taken action aimed specifically toward the detriment of Knoxville?

That's why no one's complaining about the others.

Henderson was leading and pulled in. BDS is a low budget team, they feel they can make more money at Badlands. Badlands brings a bunch of money to the sport and pays teams very well and people complain. WTF? So they took a couple cars from Knoxville, its called competition. It happens in business sometimes.

I think Badlands will be sold in the next few years, this new owner is trying to bury Knoxville and it wont happen. As a fan I think what he is doing really sucks and wish the tracks would work together to put on the best shows not try to steal cars away from each other.

No, Tod Q. (NSL) and Knoxville declared war on BMS

1. BMS moves 410 show to Saturday's with an increased weekly purse with having Sunday a rain date. Also had 4 NSL dates including the 100, 000 shootout,  2 WOO dates and the Rock n roll gold cup.

2. Approximately a week after BMS schedule was released (at a press conference that Tod was at) the NSL pulls out. (Conflicting stories)

3. Short time later NSL increases their purse and teams up with Knoxville for 12 shows.

And the rest is history.

The fact that you think BMS had 4 NSL dates before even consulting with the NSL shows your ignorance. How could and why would the NSL (which shares most of its major sponsors with Knoxville) possibly require their driver to run at Husets against a regular Saturday night at Knoxville. The series would surely fall apart as some of their drivers and their sponsors are committed to Knoxville. They may have had 4 Sunday dates with BMS which Chuck moved to Saturday. You just can't do that. Then to maintain the series they decide to add nights to Jackson and Knoxville. Ths NSL then decided more money up front at events instead of more in he points fund so drivers could run more of where they wanted like a true outlaw. This actually helps most BMS drivers that choose to run Jackson... Yet your complaining. Your argument is invalid.

Great post! Also....Tod Quiring did state from the very beginning that he would not schedule the NSL on a Saturday night against Knoxville. Not even Chuck's checkbook could convince Tod to go back on his word. That's probably why Brennan started the war!
