I know on Twitter and other areas, people are hashtagging LD and the Kreitz team to pull to Knoxville.  Is there any real chance of that happening?  I haven't seen any comments from LD or DK that says it's even under consideration, and it's so late in the game that I would think they are approaching the point where it'd be too late to get ready.  Just curious.

It's very much being considered. No decision as of yet but they're definitely thinking about it.

Donald released a statement this morning saying they are not going to Knoxville because of his health.  On another note, i thought for the heat we had all weekend the track surface was awesome.  That's the first time us WG regulars seen a berm at that place for quite some time.

Sorry to hear that but totally understood. Obviously his health comes first and foremost. That's OK, they have $50,000 waiting for them in October. That's a nice chunk of change.

Yes , it was good that Lance won , stands were not packed the way they normally are but that maybe cause of extreme heat , as it affected other tracks as well . Love all the local guys and support the locals anytime but can't support the WoO RACING BRAND . If fans want to see better racing then the Outlaws , go to Indiana . Would like to see the Madam of the Grove , sell the Grove to someone who likes racing , or hire someone who knows how to prep a track .

The crowd was great. The track was exceptional considering the heat. You are literally wrong about 90% of the things you complain about. Please stop going to the racetrack. And if you must, then stop talking about it. You have absolutely no business talking about racing. Once again, please stop going. You're making an ass out of yourself.

I'm with you.

The racing was pretty good IMO.  It was pretty obvious there were 2 or 3 guys that were much quicker than everyone else, but you have that.  That's not a reflection on the track, but on the racers.  From 5th on back it was an absolute dog fight.  Look at how far some of the guys moved up/fell back.  There was definately passing.  Look at Stevie, Freddie, Kerry, and so on.  They moved up alot......  Granted some of their moving was due to some attrition, but they did alot of that moving on their own.  If you didn't see any of that then you missed the show.

As for the crowd, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't what I was expecting either.  I was seated in the reserved section with my daughter behind the flag stand and the two rows in front of us were empty.  I imagine the heat kept some folks away.  Was not a day for those in either poorer health or the extremely young to be out for any long duration.  Not sure where the mercury was, but it had to be in the upper 90's if not 100+.  Both me and my daughter were pretty whipped today and probably slightly dehydrated even though we drank quite a bit of water.

Were you there? Didn't think so. How the hell can you say the track wasn't in good shape? It was in The mid to high 90's all weekend and they still managed to get the surface VERY moist. In fact, Friday it was a little too moist. Last night however, it was great. It widened out to 2 very distinct bottom and top grooves with some people working the middle and up top, there was a nice big cushion about a foot high. I actually walked on the track and saw it. It was a beautiful surface. As usual, you weren't even there so how do you know how it was? If you don't like the format, fine that's your prerogative but no objective human being could actually look at that surface given the difficult weather conditions and say they did ANYTHING other than a good job. What do you even mean about it not being "consistent? News flash dude, its dirt. Dirt is never consistent. Talk to any driver and they'll tell you that every track is different from week to week. The feature last night was great. Lots of passing and lots of guys running balls out against that nice big cushion. And by the way, after the races Friday night, the track crew worked on the track until at least 4:00 am. They were still on it with the grader when I went to bed. Maybe if you know so much you should quit talking shit on internet forums about how bad everything is and how great they'd be if they just listened to your stupid ideas and go put your money where your mouth is and run your own track. It would fail because you don't know the first thing about it. The Grove isn't perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than it would be if you ran it.

Yes  , I was  there but no longer will  I  go to Grove any longer  for Outlaw races  . You are allowed your opinion , as  far as race it was Ok , just glad to see Lance win . Yes , I know weather was issue but this track has been same all year basically , it never changes that much but it did yesterday , as some of drivers said . Other tracks are more consistent then Grove or in better shape . But the Grove is your favorite  track I believe but that is OK .

Actually the Grove isn't my favorite track. Probably not even in my top 10 but it's still pretty good. You'd agree if it wasn't for the fact that you're still pissed that they charged you a vendors fee for you imaginary fan club. I'm glad to hear you're not going to the Grove anymore. We don't need anymore know it alls who do nothing but bitch. Like turn4guy said, just stop going to the races all together. It'll be much better for you and everyone involved.

Crowd was definitely smaller than last year at same event, due to the heat no doubt. Wasn't sure I was going until Friday, too late to get reserved seats, but by the time heats started there were plenty available in season ticket (red) area, I moved up & nobody complained at all.

I thought the heats were pretty crappy, but I don't blame the track, I blame the format. A-Main was plenty of fun, lots of action & passing. Gravel & Schatz were battling back & forth the whole race, I'm starting to agree that Gravel could be a threat in Knoxville

Go Lance!

Ok, Grove isn't your favorite track , but you usually defend them , so I was wrong . No , I don't hold anything against them for things that happened long ago .Only certain tracks I will attend now , that I think are doing a good job , the racing or doing good things for fans. Right now Port Royal is #1 track in Pa that is for fans , drivers , and owners . They continue to do great things there . I am cutting back on going to wing racing , even though I care alot about the drivers , owners and fans . Next year I probably will go to more non-wing racing outside of Pa because the racing is better but I will still do what I can for the local drivers . Yes , i do blame WRG for  what the racing has become , costly , boring ,  not doing enough for fans , and teams . No , am not complaining just telling truth .

Glad to hear you're cutting back on your racing in Pa. Go buy a place and move to Indiana. Let them have you for awhile so you can pick every little stupid thing about their tracks apart.

Crowd was great, not an all-time crowd, but the infield was jam packed, the stands were 85-90% full and beer hill was as usual SRO plus. The racing on Friday was fantastic, Saturday, you had the drama of Lance getting to the lead and how long Saldana could keep it up.

On another note, we had some posts last week on the prestige of the Silver Cup. The Summer Nationals paid a bigger purse top to bottom, counting the Morgan Cup, it was an $87k purse versus $79k for Lernerville.

Yep, congratulations! I wonder if Lance/Kreitz team has best winning percentage in the country?

A-main was really good, but I didn't like the new format for heats at all. Fastest guys started up front & won with no competition.

Looked for most of the nite like Pittman was going to sweep the whole weekend.... Lance to the rescue!

I just checked. It was easy, just went to his Website

Lance has won 8 out of 16 races, 50%, HAS to be best in the country (I'll check some more)

Three 2nds, two 4ths, one 6th & two 23rds

By contrast, Schatz has won 15 out of 54 (if I counted right) for a percent of just under 28%

Maybe there's a local weekly racer somewhere who has dominated more than Lance, but I'd be surprised, & I'm too lazy to search... Sounds like a job for EZ2BME!
