Another act of Brennan brainwashing the brainless!

Imagine that...  Larry, you don't agree with something Chuck Brennan has done!  Apparently you have quite a bit of free time working at Okoboji Motors, so you just lurk on the message boards and spit your bullshit.  Give it up....

Whats really funny is that all the Jackson brainwashed lovers are blaming Chuck for the races at Spencer being cancelled because the crew from the now defunct NSL 360 deal/ said they heard a rumor that they would only have 8 or so cars so they told the track they should cancel the races.   REALLY..........  Now I see they have cancelled night 3 of their "SPEEDWEEK"

FACT, We cancelled our show tomorrow night because of the heat. It was our call and nobody elses. We have cancelled shows in the past because of extreme heat and will again in the future. I will not put the drivers, fans, and especially my track prep guys that have to be in it ALL DAY at any more risk than they already are. For those that have not read my post I will paste it below.

***ATTENTION DRIVERS, FANS, AND CREW MEMBERS***

Redwood Falls, MN

After long discussions with Midwest 360 Speedweeks Series Director Chuck Zitterich, we have decided it is in the best interest of all involved to cancel tomorrow nights event do the extreme heat.

Safety is a number one priority for both Zitterich and the Redwood Speedway. With the heat index at 7:00pm tomorrow night still forcasted in the 105 degree range it is simply not safe for the drivers, fans, track personnel, and crew members.

"You really have to think about the drivers out there. These guys will race whenever, whatever, in any type of conditions. It is up to us to make sure they have a safe environment," stated Zitterich. "When the temperatures are that hot, it is at least 130 plus degrees in the cockpits of these cars. Drivers are in full fire suites, helmets, & gloves for extended periods of time."

Track Promoter Justin Holzapfel also voiced his concerns stating, "Chuck and I are not only looking out for the drivers, crew members, and fans, but also my track prep guys that would be out in the heat from sun up until after the races. These guys will be in tractors, water trucks, etc with no air conditioning for 12 plus hours. It just isn't safe for anybody involved."

There will be no make up date as this was to be part of a 4 night series. Holzapfel and Zitterich will continue on trying to build up dirt track racing in the area and hope to come together for another possible date next season.

"Tod Quiring, Chuck Zitterich, Doug Johnson, and the entire staff at Jackson Motorplex are a great group of people to work with. They really have the best interest of the sport in mind and I hope to continue our great working relationship with them at both the Redwood Speedway and Nobles County Speedway," said Holzapfel.

Racing action resumes this Sunday night at the Redwood Speedway with our normal Sunday Night Program. See you at the track!

Keep the personal info and personal attacks out of your posts! That's totally classless! Your right I disagree with how Brennan spends the money. He doesn't spread it. Dump some of that wealth at the rest of the field. Is that too much for your brain to grasp? If he were spreading the money in that direction I'd be the first to praise him. He has a chance to really make a positive difference with his spending, and he's not doing it! Dumping money at the top does nothing to build sprint car racing in our areas. If you think fattening the wallets of a few drivers is going to lead to bigger and healthier fields you don't have a clue. You refer to me as a hater and full of bullshit. I've yet to see you ever offer anything that just might be a positive thought or idea that might lead to better things. Instead you offer insults and now you feel like a big shot by making it personal.

Classless...  But it's cool for you to come on here and, in your terms " attack" and spew rumors about drivers (personally) and promoters (personally), behind a screen name. You have spewed false info in the past saying it was fact and that you don't lie.  You got pinched in who you really are and you calling it an attack... It is simply called truth. And your talk about paying the guys that "win" too much and not spreading it out through the field. Look at it like this, If you had a competition at work that paid the top salesman in units sold, a 5k bonus. Your saying the guy that won, the guy that busted his ass, worked open to close everyday, should just have that 5k evenly distributed amongst all the sales people, the people that may not have done shit, and not put in the hours. The guy that wins get the money, plain and simple.

The bottom line is: I'm sure you are a good guy, hell your a sprint car fan, you must be a decent guy! But you constantly come on here and talk shit behind a screen name. Your screen name has now been compromised and you are pissed. Think about the shit you posted about others behind a screen name. You personally talked shit about them using their "personal" name.... With false info!!!! If your going to post half ass info and rumors, back it up with your name, own it.

And like I have said before... Support whatever track or series you enjoy the most.

I AM SORRY BUT I REALLY WONDER IF BROWN OR MADSEN OR DUDE WERE THERE IN A 360 AND WON IF HE WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THING, I BET NOT.

Do you ever think before typing?  Do you ever attempt to try and find out the facts before making yourself look So very ignorant on here? Jeez the guy showed up at a track he doesn't own. And decided to add money to the winner in honor of a long time sprint car driver who has passed away. And he did it long before the feature ever started.

Side note Jim:  none of chucks "paid drivers" that you've stated before with your "facts" were even there racing last night.  And he still put that extra money up!!!!      I bet when they heard the news they wished they had decided to come race that night.  And I also bet  you get sick of typing stupidity every time you touch the keyboard.

Just chill out a little bit.   Support whatever track and whatever promoter you want.

Your ability to stretch truths as to what I have posted and have not posted is amazing. So addressing that isn't worth my time. As for your analogy of comparing a competition in sales to a winner takes all purse bonus, let me explain what you're missing. Any competition or bonus structure in sales is not a winner take all.....any monies put up for the salepeople during a promotion is is offered to all salespeople on a per sale basis. No one gets shut out of the money that is put up as an incentive. The top salespeople do have higher incomes, of course. Just like the top sprint car drivers do. But if you think for a minute that the entire sales staff is not important or necessary, you are mistaken. Just as it takes a full field of drivers to make a race, it takes a full sales force to make a dealership successful. A good manager knows that the growth of a store, comes from the ability to work with and assist the sales people that may be struggling. What you seem to be saying is the driver who shows up and never wins, may not have done shit or put in the hours to deserve to be there. Just try putting on a weekly race event, if the only cars there are the ones that have won a feature. You won't have many cars!

Unbelievable how people just continually bitch.

The point of this was, for all of those that say Brennan hasn't done anything for racing outside of his own Badlands Entertainment Group when in the past he had put $15,000 into the 410 purse for Husets Championship nights and threw $5000 in the purse at Husets unnannouced for no reason, here the guy adds 10,000 to the purse at a county fairgrounds track in Iowa that  HE HAS NO FINANCIAL STAKE IN and nothing to gain from it just because he's a rich guy that likes racing. So they announced it at intermission instead of 1 week ahead of time so there wouldn't be a bunch of invaders and it would go to a local and support a team that supports local tracks. BTW Bakker or Gharst could have won it and they havent raced at Badlands all that much. as someone already said if he was just shelling out cash to his favorites you could bet T Mac, who according to some Brennan has given $150,000, a house, a yacht, 2 turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree, would have been at Rock Rapids Tuesday running for $12,400 to win after his first 360 appearance at Badlands 2 nights before.

Take care of the little guys, okay let's say it was you that put $10,000 into the purse and you wanted to give $400 to all 23 360's and $50 to all 17 street stocks, would you want to walk thru the pits writing out 40 checks or peeling off 100's and 50's 40 different times? And when he missed the guy that blew up in hot laps and loaded up and went home at 8:30 would SDD and Blazer be on here bitching that the guy that just trashed a $28,000 engine wasnt given his $400 and was the guy that needed it the most?

Take care of the little guys, someone put on here a great post of weekly payoffs I believe it showed that Williams Grove paid $315 for last in the A and Port Royal paid $325 for last in the A. Badlands pays $700 more then double. Has anyone asked Chuck McGillvray, Cody Hansen or Doug Martens if Badlands is helping the "little guy"?  When Jack Croaker goes there he gets his 700 start money plus 400 travel money. The Jack Croaker of Williams Grove gets $315, at Badlands he gets 1100, 3 1/2 times as much.

Ford97 try to exit fantasy land you idiot. Badlands ran a WoO show on Sat and Sunday when K-Ville wasnt running, surprise! Lasoski, Brown, Hendrickson, etc, etc weren't there. If Badlands ran weekly 410's on Sunday the only K-Ville regular they would get that they aren't already getting would be Ian Madsen, and they would lose a bunch of ND cars by doing that. The only place that would benefit by Badlands running 410's Sundays would be K-Ville. I guess Pepsi should stop making Cola so Coke can have all of that market.

Ford97 pay attention here, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny don't exist and Badlands wouldn't get a bunch more Central Iowa 410s by running on Sundays, in fact the car count would be greatly reduced.

Oh and you asking about Madsen finishing ahead of Badlands regulars at the WoO race, you left out T Mac a Badlands regular  winning the Friday night WoO show at Knoxville? Oh and the K-Ville  NSL Friday nighter July 1 Zomer a Badlands regular finished 2nd beating all Knoxville regulars, why did you forget that?

Nice to see Brennan took the Dr Evil of sprint cars crown back from Chase and Bryan Wanner, I saw Bryan race IMCA LM's a few times at Webster City in the 1990's was he a notorious cheater in those days too?

Okay blast away dipshits

Unbelievable how some people just continually hate

You can't come up with a better way of "taking care of the little guy" than giving $400.00 to all.....? Everybody knows that is not the answer....you're the one that thought that one up....nobody else has posted anything close to that. My comments are not all one sided and are not full of hate and bitching......don't take a part of my posts and ignore the other parts.....not long ago I praised Brennan for raising the purses....and in particular for raising the start money. Both were long overdo and it will cause others to follow suite! I also gave him credit for rethinking the gate prices for the Gold Cup. I think that will get him a larger crowd. I have also stated that I hope Badlands and all tracks and series will succeed. Did you simply ignore those comments in my posts?

You are correct in that I don't agree that putting a $10,000 bonus up for the winner or the top two is the best way to promote. Whether it be a spur of the moment thing or announced a day or two in advance. I'll create a thread with my thoughts on what I believe could be a more suitable way to structure bonuses. However it gets recieved is up to the readers, and maybe more minds can come up with other ideas.

Oh, and keep in mind that even though McCarl has chosen to run Badlands, he is a Knoxville blue blood through and through, and a multi time champion at both tracks, so both the fans at Badlands and the fans at Knoxville can take pride in his beating the WoO regulars at Knoxville.

So if you think you have all the answers on how a track should run their operation, how to grow sprint car racing and how people should give free money away, you have two choices.

  • Buy your own track.
  • Go to Badlands and talk with Chuck and Tom.

I will admit you do have some good points on other threads but the axe you have to grind with Badlands is really getting old.

I personally like that it was an "unannounced" bump in pay.  If he gave it to the track before the A pushed off, anyone in the field had a chance at the $$.  Had it been added after the checker and the results known, it would have still been fine, but some conspiracy theorists will cry foul even if he sent a check a month in advance not knowing who would or wouldn't be there.  It is things like this that will help the sport in the midwest.

Kinda reminds me of back when JW Hunt would do that all across the US whenever he attended a race.   Many All-Star drivers benefitted from his generosity greatly.

While I don't agree with everything that has gone down at BMS, no one should have any issues with this.

And its crazy that the LAST 2 TIMES the Rudeen Racing 26 car has been to Badlands. Kevin Rudeen himself has put up around $7500 to the winners of EVERY class. Weird how nobody brings that up and complains that Rudeen racing is ruining racing becuase he put up Bonus Money to a track that he thought was bad ass that he got $1000 for quick time, $400 for tow money and $700 bucks to get last in the A for a total of $2100! I think he stated something like "This is badass, we set quick time, and crashed in the feature and got $2100, that more then what we get for winning a 410 show at Skagit!"

Y'all would bitch if you won the Lottery becuase your damn taxes where to high!

never heard about that happening at all (you'd think that the track would have made a big deal about it and it would have been all over Hoseheads and Badlands Website).  Glad it happened, but they sure didn't do it for publicity (or lack thereof).

It was announced all night long at the track and I believe they commented about it on their Facebook thread that night.   Pretty cool for a race team to do something like that.

just surprised they didn't put it all over their twitter feed and in their write-ups on Hoseheads.  They do for all the other bonuses paid out>

However, it could be that Kevin Rudeen asked to not have it broadcast nationwide.

I think BLAZER 00 wants everyone that races to get a participation trophy and have the pay out be divided evenly amongst all teams in the feature... Dotson pump the brakes, feather the throttle through the corner.

Every team and driver that has worked their ass off their whole career and win races shouldn't be punished for racing teams that are racing for a hobby And for fun... Which we need the teams that race for a hobby and fun.

At Chico California they charge $50 each crew guy at pit gate and they have 4-5 classes; they pay sprint cars $1400 and $275 for 5th... Nobody complains about that. A random driver who races in California told me that; and he loves it up here at Badlands..And they are thinking about building a shop up here..

It's pretty hot out today but I see I80 is still racing in Greenwood Nebraska..

Dirt Track Racing is good..

I'm surprised some of you negative people on here don't protest and block the entrance to Badlands with your signs saying "other racetracks matter"

Not only is that a stupid, very stupid remark the language you use is unacceptable and you should be ashamed of yourself for using such crude and rude language.
