As far as I know, he isn't afraid to fly.  When Sheldon got older and started motocrossing, he was there for him, getting him to all the events, coaching etc.  Anyone who rides the cushion at Eldora the way Jac does, can't be afraid of much....

hard to beleive he'd be afraid to fly, he's jumped off a bridge during Nationals week into Lake Red Rock / DesMoines River....

maybe he's claustrophobic -- wait, that can't be it either, the cockpit of a sprintcar is pretty tight....

maybe he never had a good enough offer to go down to Aus?

maybe he enjoyed the "off season" and was always working on "next year"  - speaking of which, does he have a ride lined up for 2015?

Not sure about the flying deal.....thought I had heard that a few times over the years.....could be wrong.

Looks like this OZ thing could be real based on one of the sponsors on the bottom of the shirt. Would be awesome to see Jac run the Classic again! He hasn't raced it since 82 when he won his second. Track suits him a lot more now too!

He may be only slightly past his prime but it will be worth the price of admission alone to see the Widl Child back downunder.

I have been blessed to meet HAUD, seeing him at Knoxville, and Eldora and it was a thrill beyond words.  I got a chance to intially meet him at Ohsweken Speedway in Canada and as one of my idols I was like a school kid, all excited. Jac and Patty are truly genuine, and Jac is one that is looked up to by other racers and owners as one of the few drivers that is repected by all alike.   I hope that some of the up and coming racers will be able to step into Jac's, Steve's Doug's and Sammy's shoes and take the torch and be looked up to by fans going forward.  With some of the sadness of the last couple of years, ( Jason and Kevin ) this sport needs a leader like these guys to take this sport well into the future.
