4/15/2014  Clute, TX – Since entering into racing at a young age, Aaron Reutzel has dreamed of being recognized as one of the best. Following his performance on Saturday night at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, AR, Aaron can say he’s amongst the absolute best as he won the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Main Event for the first time in his career.

Aboard the seat of his Stafford Performance powered #87 TripleX, Reutzel would start his night off with a big run through the first heat race, moving from 9th to 4th before the checkered flag flew. Under the ASCS format, this would give Aaron enough passing and finishing points to make the redraw, where he’d pull the #1 pill. From the pole position of the main event, Reutzel set sail, opening up a solid advantage before the caution flew on lap 8. With the field bunched back up and clean air in front of him, Aaron jumped out to another sizeable advantage when the green came back out. On lap 16, he encountered traffic and his large lead gradually dwindled until roughly five laps remained. With second and third within just a few car lengths, Aaron threaded the needle between two lapped cars to create some breathing room and ran away without challenge over the final few circuits to complete the win.

“This win was real special…we’ve been trying so long to get it and to do it tonight is amazing. I’m missing having my Dad here tonight, since he’s been such a big part of my racing career for 16 years” said Aaron. “Ryan Beechler quit racing this year to come help me and build these motors, and with him turning the wrenches on the XXX and tuning our power like he has, it’s been unbelievable.”

Aaron Reutzel and Aaron Reutzel Racing are sponsored by Simpson, Wren’s Motorsports, Bledsoe Motorsports, Jones & Hadley Body Shop, Frakey’s Cleaners and Tj’s Lube Shop. Aaron is proud to use Stafford Performance Engines, XXX Chassis, Momentum Racing Suspension Shocks and Butlerbuilt Seats.
