I didn't make it on Friday night, but made it in on Saturday ...........................and it rained out....bummer huh?

So, I end up at the car show at Ed Walkers drive-in in downtown Ft Smith, where I met all the guys from both organizations and several from out of town.  Then the strangest thing happened- I saw a promoter do a very classy move by staying with the promises he kept!

Even though the show at Tri State was rained out ( way too much rain to deal with)- There was no effort to backtrack and cancel the car show or the door prizes!

I showed up with a car that needed  a battery, one flat tire that held no air, let alone the chances of Old 26 passing a safety inspection......AND WALKED AWAY WITH $800 IN DOOR PRIZES!!!!!!!!!!!   Yes, it happened.

A pair of rear tires, 3 pairs of racing gloves, a pair of steel wide 5 wheels, 2-3 gift certificates, a set of RJS belts, and that's all I remember off the top of my head right now.

They gave away a sbc short block, a Gil Johnson Edmunds Body ( the best there is --I go to Gil's first for fiberglass.), a 55 gallon barrell of racing fuel, numeroussets of gloves,  belts, gift certificates, wheels, tires, etc.

We stood out there in between rainfalls and saw it happen in Ft Smith.  This is a must go to show for next year, for the odds of anyone walking away empty handed are very slim.
