Jackson, MN: As summer starts across the upper Midwest, AtoZ Promotions is readying its first two invitations for the inaugural Woodke Challenge Cup slated to run August 30. The Cup, to be run on the opening night of the 35th Jackson Nationals, will be a challenge race between the top 2 in series points between the ASCS National and Midwest Series, as well as the top 2 in track points from Jackson Speedway and Knoxville Raceway. The ASCS Midwest region will run its final point show before the Jackson Nationals this Saturday night at I-90 Speedway in Hartford, SD. Jack Dover currently leads the standings with 560 points and is almost assured a starting spot. The second invite will come down to a battle of young guns hailing from Nebraska. Jordan Boston, driving the Select Auto Body #4, sits second in points with 460. Sitting just 4 points behind is Eagle, NE own Tyler Drueke. In addition, drivers Derrik Lusk and Billy Alley could still steal a qualifying spot with a high finish on Saturday along with a poor showing by either Boston or Drueke. It is the first of the four point’s battles that will determine the invitees to the special Woodke Challenge Cup at the 35th running of the Jackson Nationals. The 35th Jackson Nationals will take place Friday, August 30 and Saturday August 31. Sponsored by the State Bank of Fairmont, special 2 day advance passes are available and can be purchased at www.jacksonspeedway.com or www.facebook/AtoZPromoters.
