This is the only photo of my own of Dave Oltman taken at SaltHawk Speedway in Hutchinson. I visit the site for the first time in months and I only read about sadness and the loss of one of our local legends. My guess is a heart attack?

Thanks for cleaning up my post. Yes, this caught me off guard. Dave and I worked together at Rickel and I watched him race most every weekend at Salina Speedway. I only know what is in the obit, but guess you are right about heart attack. Way too young.
A few weeks ago, we also lost Jay(Fuzzy) Hudson. Jay started racing in a Hudson stock car and finished in a dirt late model. About the same age as Dave
