Bruce; I for one vote that Chad paint the 98 sedan a nice PEPSI blue over the winter, we all know it needs a paint job but only a few know that body is being used exactley the way it was found in a salvage yard just last year.. Andy mounted the body on one of his OVSCRA chassis, several people liked the looks & suggested they run it for a year before painting it, well the year is just about up & I think they need a blue car in the line-up ! Bob

Well Bob you're right, we tend to have to much red and white in our Modifieds. Chad is planning on painting the 34 this winter and a Pepsi blue would be a cool color!! If I get to the point on the 33 Chevy sedan that I have, it will be John Deere green or yellow!!

Has anyone noticed the left front Tire? Aaron (#53 Modified) put this on as a joke, Chad left it on and said it didn't handle bad at all!! But talk about some stagger!!

Here's another shot of Chad and the #98 34 Chevy sedan. It will look different in the spring as Chad has said it will be painted this winter. Check out the exhaust, the extensions are made from old drive shafts and it sounds pretty good!!

Super nice photo Bruce, thanks for posting it & how about getting a photo of the '32 Ford 5W that might be ready this Saturday night. Can you believe that Chad is talking about painting the 98 Grey, blah blah. Bob

Bruce,

Now that's a pony tire. My father used to run a small left front on his car back in the day (without the stagger though). When only three tires are doing most of the work you might as well see how well it works.

Dan, I guess that pony tire works as Chad in the 98 took home the hardware Saturday night in a close race with Aaron in the 53. I made a change in my front tires (10" rims and grooved Hoosiers), but didn't get a chance to find out in the feature what thay would do, as my left front brake would grab when I braked for the corners and wouldn't release until about a third of the way down the straightaway! I had to back off a little early for the corners and stay off the brakes. I'll have it fixed before I head to Ardmore this Saturday!
