April 1, 2011 - Indianapolis, IN - USAC has announced three new racing divisions that will kick off at the beginning of the 2012 season.
.125 midgets - offshoot of the popular .25 midgets series. They will be .25 midgets cut in half and will be raced on a figure 4 track. These cars will be half the price of the regular .25 midgets.
Aluminum Crown Series - For the budget-minded racer that cannot afford the silver in a Silver crown car, this car will be fabricated from recycled aluminum. Sponsors for the series include Alcoa, Pepsi, Coke and Renoylds Wrap.
410 CI helicopter racing - all the fun of 410 non-wing sprint cars but without the cost of those expensive Hoosier Tires. It will be better than airplane racing as helicopters are run WITHOUT WINGS. HANS device and 5 point belts are recommended but not mandatory.
A schedule will be released in the near future.

Hey, I like the idea of the Aluminum Crown Series. With sponsors like that, it could work! We can't wait for tomorrow, Alcoa can't wait. Let's make it happen.
