Chili Bowl is indoors. It seldom rains inside a building.

Now I'm waiting for somebody to start arguing with that statement!

How did a post from 2004 suddenly show up in 2018? However if it does rain, Stubb wont have any trouble finding a shelter large enough to keep him dry.

Stubb, Sorry that you probably wont make the Chili Bowl. The restaurant you referred to has since closed, bummer. My Brother and I plan to make a field trip this year to Eldora and other nearby tracks for about a week. Perhaps we can meet up somewhere. I don't recall what part of Ohio you live, let me know.

Heck, I once spent a night at Stubbs and I still don't know where he lives. We went there after a race at Attica and when we got there he had agreed we would just have one drink (I was whupped having been on the road for over a month). I then came to find out it was one drink of every kind of liquor he had on his bar, OMG. How I managed to do that without ralphing is still a major mystery in my life. Lord we had some laughs, two BS'rs like him and I, half lit up to boot, I was entertained to say the least, it should have been filmed. Few people on this planet have a way of looking at this world like the Stub, I'm not kidding. Once again, another special memory I will take to my grave courteous of the great sport of Sprint Car Racing....
PS Some unbelievable trivia for you Stub, your first line in Boston which consists of Marchand, Bergeron and Pastrnak has not been scored in at even strength this year, huh, friggin' amazing....

Hey Stubby, Gayle, MSPN & Cheroger. Looking forward to seeing y'all. I hope we can all make it to the Chili Bowl. We'll miss those who can't make it (and you can bet we'll talk about you - so you better get your stuff together and get there). How I hate having to censor.....
This original post reminds me of my first night at the Chili Bowl. My brother & I got there - got the last 2 tickets for the night - 1st row going into corner #1... and we came with about 3 layers of clothes plus lots of blankets. Boy did we feel weird. We didn't know it was t-shirt weather inside. We got hit a lot with mud but it was a great perspective of the racing.
I sure miss Mike Sweeton and his knowledge of racing - and the bean bag tournaments. That was a good way to get to know other folks.

Anybody know where Mikey is these days and what he's doing? He was a great guy and a special friend for many years and with my relocation back up to the frozen tundra I've lost track, any help is much appreciated....
