MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you. I hope you have a joyous and safe holiday! If you are surrounded by family, make the most of every minute. There may be a time in your life when Christmas might not be so complete. If that day comes, your memories will be what fills the void.

Merry Christmas to you blazer00 and to everyone on this board. Many I've met, many more I haven't. Sometimes we don't all see eye to eye, but remember, we're all family. We're part of the best sports family in the world. The Sprint Car Family.

Couldn't have said it better so I'll just quote you and say that I too wish the same for everyone here.

No Truer words have been spoken on this Board. 3 weeks ago yesterday our 23 year old construction worker son died of a heart attack in the shower. Right now the memories bring tears but I'm sure someday they will be happy memories. Anyway I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and has a terrific New Year ahead of them. Boy, I really need spring to get here! Oh, and tell your friends and family you love them, they may be gone tomorrow!!

My condolences. Time does help heal. He'll forever be in your heart and mind. I lost my father at 56 and my wife at 47. Old compared to your 23 year old son, but still way too young. My father has been gone 23 years and my wife 7 years, and there's not a day goes by that I don't think about them. Hang in there. It does get better.

My thoughts and prayers to you and to MissouriSprintFan, and of course any other fans that have endured loss of loved ones. There rare no words that will ease the pain. MSF is correct in that only time will help. I lost my son to a brain tumor 4 years ago at age 36. He survived that same tumor and made a full recovery at age 16, so we did have him for another 20 years after that. He led a healthy bachelors life because he didn't want to take the risk of leaving a family behind in the event of a recurance. He was my best friend in life, and he grew up to be as passionate of sprint car fan as myself. I miss him most at the race track, but that is also when I can smile the most when recalling memories. My heart goes out to you.
