It looks like the NE 360's are having a meeting tonight to determine whether to sell to the NSL or ASCS. Anyone have any additional information on this?

The meeting is Saturday at the One Eyed Dog Saloon at 2:00 in Eagle to discuss the options available to the group. They will discuss a few options, some of which include joining the NSL or continue with what they have been doing the past few years. Dennis Parker is just trying to keep 360 sprint car racing alive in Nebraska.

Any truth to the rumor that Emmett offered to buy the series as well?

No truth to that at all! , NSL is not offering money to buy either. I have never talked to Emmet, last contact with ASCS was in December 2012 ! Dennis

I'd think one series instead of three in the area would be best but which one is the big question.

I wish Dennis and the 360 division well, I just don't see it working without being involved with NSL. It became very apparent (with the exception being national shows) that car counts are still an issue. Having an average of 15 cars with only 4 or 5 of them competitive is not a good show and has been the problem for several years now. As we all know, money talks and that in simple terms has been the demise of this division in Nebraska.

i have seen the same experience happening at "the premiere" track in the northwest, smaller and smaller every year, dirt cup is a 360 show now. also having two venues several hundred miles apart for the promoter i believe takes it 's toll. spread too thin? who knows... fan base is down, purse is down. demographics is everything...
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...

They had some shows that had pretty good car count too. I hope they go with the NSL deal...I would think that would pull some more cars. When most shows pay $1500 to win that has me concerned.

I should not answer these questions. Husker 1 we had an average car count of 23 all year. With 361 entries at all our races, had I believe 86 total different competitors.
K-Mart = The purse for The NSL is a total of 75 dollars a night higher, our group was set up to try and help all competitors not just the top 5 . In the end we will vote on which direction to go NSL or Status quoe , Until all the facts are known it is very hard to decide which way to go,
Dennis

Wow, the windd and rainstorm this week must have really stretched things out up there. According to my GPS and my 30+ years of attending races at both tracks, it's 167.5 miles from one track to another, not "several hundred".
