I've really been wanting to start reading the books written about Jan Opperman. I've been looking at buying through amazon.com, but I just don't have enough money to buy them all right now. (Is there another place that I may be able to find them cheaper?) The following list contains the books I've been considering reading.
- Living Where The Thunder Hides
- Dialed In
- Odyssey
- Where Eagles Fly
So my question to those who have read the books is: which book should I read first?
I appreciate the thoughts, opinions, and suggestions in advance. Thanks.

Any of them you can get your hands on first, read that one. But, don't forget to read ALL of them.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

You might try abebooks.com or alibris.com as alternatives to Amazon.

Check with your local library and ask if they have an inter library loan program. I used it before internet. You could borrow a book for 90 days and only had to pay for the return postage to original library.

Dialed In is excellent. Living where the Thunder Hides is good too. Haven't read the other 2.

Off topic a little bit but if you like reading tales of sprint car past, check out the John Gerber book.

I own Dialed In and Where Eagles fly. Both are excellent, but for me Dialed In is my favorite. Have read and re-read it. Hard to put down. I was lucky enough (and old enough) to meet Jan in his prime and to watch him race many times.

All these books are a great read ,and you might find yourself re-reading them over and over.
I try and read Odyssey every year. It's so rad that Jan recorded himself and the book is writen right off the tapes.
Amazing road trips ,and racing story's that would have been forgoten had they not been taped .
Jan Opperman was an amazing man to watch live his life.
I'm very thankful for all the time's I was fortunate to be around Jan,and listen to him.
RIP brother.
