As a Swindell fan this is some great news. Sammy has ran really well for CJB and with Big Game Treestands back on the car as a sponsor I think he'll have a great 2016 and add some valuable help to the #51 CJB car.

The shame is that morons like you don't realize he retired from FULL TIME RACING. Some haters just can't see past their blind hatred for the legend. Get over it. And learn to comprehend the english language. Retiring from full time racing doesn't mean he can't run a limited schedule. Such stupidity from the haters. At least us true fans who love Sammy and what he has done for the sport will have at least another year of comical stupidity to read from all the haters.

Sammy originally thought he would only race the Chili Bowl. Then he found that there were competitive cars that would field a part time entry for him, so he jumped at the chance. That's it.
I'd hate to be the kind of person that gets mad when another car is put on the track just because I don't like the driver. And then calling that driver and his fans idiots just reflects poorly on you. Sammy is a polarizing figure in the sport for sure, some hate him and some love him, but that is a good thing for the sport really. Just because you dislike a race car driver isn't a reason to insult that driver or their fans. Just chill out and enjoy the races.
There are some drivers I don't like and some drivers I like more than others, but I show appreciation for any driver that shows up at a track and puts on an entertaining show for me.

Jordan retired and came back...twice.
It's not like Sammy did a farewell tour and then came back. He just left, and then decided to come back. Big deal.

Who cares what Sammy does. Why does it matter? He is one of the best of all time and he can do whatever he wants. Sammy, along with Steve and Doug, elevated this sport to where it is today....I like more cars and drivers on the track. Especially legends like Sammy.

But in all seriousness, I don't see how anyone could view this as anything but a positive for our sport. Sammy puts butts in the seats, period. Enjoy it while it lasts, because it has to end at some point.

You are so stupid when it comes to reasoning a person's right to change their decisions. As a point of fact, when Sammy made the initial decision to retire he was going through a rather tramatic personal time in his life. If you knew anything, you would have known that. Once those things were sorted out, and Sammy began a new chapter in his life, he apparently decided that his passion for sprint car racing and his belief that he could still be competitive, gave him enough reason to re-think his initial decision and return to a limited schedule. You Sammy haters are all alike. A bunch of idiots who long ago jumped on the bandwagon you thought was so popular. Truth is, a lot of those idiots never even witnessed the first half of his career. Stick your head back in the sand!

I don't get why it is such a big deal when people come back after retiring. So what, I did not know that after you retire there was some sort of legal contract prohibiting people from never returning. Everytime Jason Meyers pops up and decides to drive for some event in California or the bigger events you have some crybaby on here going "i thought he retired," or when Sammy jumped in the CJB car earlier this year again "I thought he retired."
So what, yes they did retire, and now they want to come back. Its their life, their career, and they have the ability and if someone has a car to drive and wants to put them in it then go ahead. Personally I have never been a fan of Sammys. Frankly if he wins a race i feel like I wasted my money, but he is still a good driver and one of the best ever, I am not going to let me distaste for him blind me of that. The "he retired" excuse just gets old and stupid.

You're right you know. After all, this is North Korea we live in. He is not allowed to miss it and change his mind.
Give me a break.

And your old man could have done the world a favor by shooting you onto the floor instead of in your mother.

No Swindell fan here. Just can easily recognize stupidity when I see it and, man, you are overloaded with stupid.

I'd say Tod Quiring just told the world he's a big fan of Sammys. So I suppose u think he's an idiot too? I'd venture to say he's a bit more successful than you. Hmmmm

You should probably check your sources again on the Jordan retirement, in 1993 he retired and stated he no longer had a desire to play and the Bulls retired his #23 soon after. He played minor league baseball for awhile and then in 1995 came back to the Bulls and started out wearing the #45 and then soon after went back to the #23. When Jordan retired in 93 he was in no way leaving the door open to come back, if the team thought he'll be back, why would they retire his #. He did explicitly say I'm done with Basketball, by retiring.

Shit stain has been? That shit stain had been just landed one of the best rides in the country. Once again I'd have to say Mr Quiring is a lot smarter and clearer minded about the state of Sammys career than u are. Think I'll have to go with the successful people that r giving rides to the best drivers and the people lined up at his merch trailer that he may not be as "has been " as u the expert claim. How many shirts did u sell at the nationals?
