I thought drivers could only run both 410 & 360. If they ran one of those classes they could not run a 305 also. How did Ball get to run 360 & 305 in the same night?

And thanks to that team throwing Jamie Moyle under the bus after THEY got caught cheating Moyle said at the drivers meeting he will no longer exchange tires. So if you buy one you don't like you are stuck with it and will need to spend another $200 if you want a different one. Just wish Jamie could have said what he really wanted, but he was told he had to be politically correct.

One cheater spoils a good thing for everyone! To bad there is not one person on that team that could be a man and admit they cheated and got caught.

I thought they can run 2 classes, not all 3. and a 410 driver couldn't drop to 305's.

They can only get points in 1 class as a driver (and they have to choose before the season starts which one).  But the owner can accumlate points in all divisions they own a car in (which is why Henderson is not in the points in the 360's, but BDS Motorsports is leading the 360 owner standings).

Agree on your other points completely.  Let's say they didn't cheat, they made themselves look guilty by trying to put the blame elsewhere (throwing Jayme under the bus IMO).

Best thing they could have said would have been: ........(silence)..........

The Track didn't send out a Press Release or anything regarding the DQ.  WLM brought more attention to it than it EVER would have gotten otherwise (IMO) by putting out a Press Release and running down another competitor (Kade Higday) and the tire vendor.

Tim Keading took his DQ for an ellegal muffler like a man (as did Tony Schilling a few years back), the blame rests on the team (intentional or unintentional cheating is still cheating) when it comes to the rules.

We were told last year that a 360 driver could not run in 305 class.  I never heard any other thing till Balls started racung 305 last week.  Tim Kaeding car owner with a press release apologized to Tim Kaeding and the fans for the not legal muffler.  I do not know all the facts but he said Tim had nothing to do with it.

that's all class from the car owner too....

I missed the press release for it, but I'm guessing Dave L. didn't blame the Muffler manufacturer or Speedway Motors (or wherever they purchased the muffler)....

I remember John McCoy saying at a drivers meeting in 2014 or 13 that they were going to start letting drivers compete in 2 classes. But if you ran 305 you could only run 305. You could run both 360 and 410 if you wanted. The reason for not allowing double duty in the past was fear that it would slow down the show.

In my opinion, if you watch the video replay (at about the 1:40 minute mark on Knoxville Raceway.com) it is so obvious that Jamie Ball intentionaly blocked/brake checked,  whatever you want to call it to allow Devin Kline a large lead. The 55and 76 car didn't stand a chance. That BS and thats the only reason Ball is in this class in order for Kline to make up for lost points for cheating!

I saw a car length jump on the original start by the car on the outside front row. Sure Comegy's took off a bit slow but Kline was ahead before Comegy's even hit the gas so I don't want to hear about Comegy's bogging.

Also Jamie never even got on the gas in the last restart until he got to the first pole on the work area fence. Jamie is a little man in a little boy's body. McKenna should have bust his lip.

Pissed at the track for taking pts from Kline so they get revenge on innocent drivers. Wonder whose master plan that was.

There was no need for WLM throwing anyone under the bus, let alone an innocent competitor. that team gets whatever comes to them, definitely lacking class

Just to clarify for those that don't know, Jamie Moyle is the Hoosier tire dealer at Knoxville. He raced there for many years, builds motors and now has a tire truck at the track each week. He has been involved at Knoxville raceway in some way for 30 years. Never a black mark against him in all that time that I have heard of. To blame him for their cheating is just being a total a$$hole on the part of the Balls. I find it funny that the 5j crew wears t shirts that say "got balls? We do"  No, they don't. Or they would not blame others for their illegal tire. If it is on your car and it is illegal it IS your fault. Don't blame one of the best guys at the track and ruin a good deal for everyone!

So at the Nationals this year guys getting tires to get correct stagger are forced to buy another tire instead of just changing it out? That will get expensive!

I believe he only exchanged "new, unused" tires anyway.  If they used the tire and figured out they need to change their stagger, they were buying a new one anyway.

And since the tire rule is typically "open" during the Nationals, lots of new rubber is used by all teams in every event (TT, Heat, Prelim Feature)
