A) Brennan sounds like a cocky idiot on this!
B) Good news about Pa. Speedweek increased purse, makes it more exciting. Looking forward to 1st 3, midgets at the Grove, Lincoln & funky lil Path Valley (don't live in Pa. can't fit whole thing in my schedule)
C) Cherry picking? boohoo... they raced at the Port & won, good for them

I went to Wikipedia and looked up “troll who thinks his jokes are funny but he's the only one laughing at them" and I didn't find anything but then I came here, saw your post and I found what I was looking for. I have an idea, why don't you walk up to Greg this weekend and tell him he's a cherry picker and see what he has to say. Better yet, why don't you strap your ass into a sprint car yourself and see how many cherries are in your basket at the end of the night?

BTW, I don't ever recollect making bad comments about Trail-Way on my show. And if something like that didn't happen, not by me, it didn't happen this year.

Chuck Brennan is about to find out that money can't buy you everything. No way he comes out on top if he goes head to head with Knoxville.
I hate to say it, but this guy fits all the stereotypes one would associate with someone who amassed their fortune through payday loans.

The thing with the Sat. track drivers jumping around for one week for an All Sta race is that the regular show purses have increased in Pa. the last few years and the All Star winner's share hasn't increased in many years. This makes the All Star purse nothing really special for it to be worth being put in the penalty box for two weeks at your regular Sat. track. The Pa. drivers get many chances in a season to run for $5,000 to win.

Sounds like a good plan. The 3 ring circus is going to have ticket price range from $10 - $100. No more general admission. Reserved seating and you can buy a ticket/SEAT for the season.

Hold on to your shorts, smokedrunk
Brennan is shaking things up and the old guard of boring winged sprint car racing is about to get a shake up. Soooooo many people are sick of the boring 410 winged sprint car racing at knoxville.
Knoxville is going to be blown away with what Badlands Motor Speedway has planned. Knoxville = amateur hour

This guy Brennan sounds like somebody from NASCAR in the early seventies, I think his last name was Stacey..Never amounted to much..He thought he was the "real deal" like Brennan thinks he is...Sorry to bring NASCAR into to post...

I guess it's a good thing we have people like Tod Quiring still, that understand what we need in this sport. Cause that bozo up at "Badlands" sure seems to struggle with reality.

Indy -
I notice you are new to the board, this is your second post, and have immediately jumped into the topics on the new owner of Husets.
What elements of winged sprint car racing do you find boring? Or is it the sport itself that is distasteful to you?
You singled out Knoxville in particular and called them "amateur hour". Are you from the area and how often do you attend races there? Knoxville consistently produces some of the best sprint car racing on the track you will see anywhere. Large, top-notch field of drivers/teams. Track prep second to none. Safety crew. Push trucks. Professional. Well run. Help me understand as a sprint car fan what you find so displeasing with the racing product at Knoxville?
And you seem to insinuate you have insight into the things the new owner of Huset's has planned. Please share what specifically has you excited that is going to blow everyone away.
Thanks

Who was the clown that was going to change the sprint car racing a few years back? If I remember right he was a big NASCAR guy. The thing I remember him saying was "Those cars need starters." Indyharrington = Brennan?

Wasn't it Humpy that thought sprint cars needed fenders for safety?

Hopefully we as sprintcar fans have a hand in squashing the bug at the "new" Husets. For the first time in a long time the midwest 410 teams have some great things happening only to see an arrogant individual try and derail it. I for one hope we as fans make sure this doesn't happen. Knoxville is hallowed ground to all sprintcar fans and drivers WORLD wide. Lets make sure the "new" Husets owner learns a little respect and $$$$$ doesn't solve everything.

No matter how much $ he has it has no impact on the fan base unless he plows it into the track with no concern for ROI. And the only real way he can sway an entire fan base is to charge little to no gate $ and give away concesssions. Ego is an expensive bitch when it comes to learning a lesson after you ran your mouth and have some $ you think can "make it so" after having said something. Been done many times over by those with names such as Rockefeller, Dupont, Caregie, etc. Not entire fortunes maybe, but fortunes to most of us.

Been reading this since it was first posted, interesting. I live about 35 miles from Knoxville and would hate to see someone screw up what is currently going on - BUT nothing any of Us can do, Mr Brennen is going to do whatever he wants and not listen to anyone.
My thoughts are along the line that Mr Brennen doesn't really want the track to succeed, Mr Brennen's desire is more along the way of concerts. So he'll just use the facility as a race track until it shows its not working then close down the racing and try to become a big-time music venue.
I suppose he can buy drivers to come up there on Saturday night, if you have enough money you can do anything. But what happens when those driver decide to go run something else - WHAT'S Mr brennen going to do if a driver agrees to run his track on Saturday night and an NSL or WOO show happens at a track closer - like if Knoxville has an NSL or a WOO show and TMAC decides he wants to run with them - What's he going to do then.
Personally I'd like to see Mr Brennen work with eveyone - stay on Sunday.
I looked on Google Maps at the distances to Sioux Falls, might be interesting for everyone.
Knoxville 320 miles 5 Hours
Omaha 185 Miles 3 Hours
Lincoln 235 Miles 4 Hours
Kansas City Mo. 363 Miles 5 Hours
