He did some dope, and he tried to outrun the cops.Alot of us weren't choir boys when we were young, but we straitened up and got it together, that's why root for a guy like Tyler to do the same, we know it can be done.
|
Wasn't a choir boy myself, but anyone who leads police on a high speed chase across three states has some pretty serious mental issues. The video from Williams Grove is another good sign of it. If he stays straight then good for him, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I don't think anyone here is "OK" with what Tyler has done in the past, as far as his personal life. But hell, as long as he's on the gas and putting on a show from green to checkers, I'll root for him. It's not that anyone is accepting what he has done, but what he "can" do, with a sprint car. If he falls off the wagon tomorrow, so be it, but until then, if it ever happens, race on T-Dub.

Oh but many of u singing tdubs praises would give Sammy 7 yrs for being a "douchebag".
As a recovering alcoholic I wish him all the luck, wisdom and strength it takes to defeat his demons.

As I sit here typing this on Sunday at 10:25am...I expect the majority of u to be sitting in church since ur so damn perfect...
So...how how many of you watch professional stick and ball sports? I don't think I have to say anything else...We could have a few bad apples...but we don't have the trash baseball, football and basketball have...like it or not
peace!

I'll stand by my original statement when the deal went down that a lesser driver would have never have made it out of the first state let alone three.
But seriously people have been through a lot worse and cleaned their lives up. I'm happy to see him taking these steps and if he surrounds himself with the right people and stays focused he will be successful.

All he can do now is take one day at a time. I would bet big money he is on 24/7 drug testing to meet probation. Seemed like he is pretty coherant in the interview, but time will tell. Wish him the best, hope he keeps it together he is a good racer.
But food for thought on some of you folks..Being negative about someone trying to get there shit together from what ever it is they're fighting..YOU should go look in the mirrior and have a gander at your own life..

I hope the guy can keep his shit together as he is a hell of a driver, but in the same sentence I feel that the system (legal) failed this time. $$$ had to be the verdict after the collection of charges he had. If some owner wants to give him a chance, so be it. I am all for the drug testing if ever established especially with a track record he carries.
More LIBERAL ass thinking people on the West coast than anywhere so keep his scroungy looking self out there where he belongs. Had too many chances & so far has blown them all. See what happens this time around & if the praise continues to follow or swallow!!!!

I pay very little attention to stick and ball sports, and yes I was in church at 10:25 a.m. And if you had half a clue you'd know that the Christian life is not about perfection....

I looked in the mirroe and reassessed my own life as you suggested. I am a not drug user or a criminal, so I do thank you with reaffirming that the defense and excuse-making on this board for drug-using scumbaggery is deplorable.

You set the bar for "perfection" rather low if all "perfection" requires in your eyes is not to be a a drug addict or a criminal.

Agree with the sentiment that the Tyler Walker apologists on this board that will excuse anything do seem to be a lot of starry-eyed west coast liberals. My favrorite rationalization is always the "But the guy can drive" excuse.

lots of love and hate, thats what makes things so interesting. Knowledge is key. Folks seem to think that 3 states is a long way, where Tyler evaded the law was indeed for three states, but it was only 33 miles or so. Chase started in Mesquite, Nevada and ended with spike strips at the utah border, he passed through Arizona, just the tip. It has been funny how a simple sprint car racer from So. Cal. can be so demonized by a particular writer, when the son of a nascar founder was arrested going 170 in Miami in a lamborghini in possesion of large amounts of heroine, but did anyone hear about that. Lets get real he has been under a microscope, imagine what that must feel like. Hes one of the kindest persons anywhere, its because of his good karma he is back and will win alot.

They'll be abusing him with a smoke in one hand and a beer in the other, far more harmful and to a lot more people than what he took. Hypocrites all!

And please keep yourself exactly where you're at, wherever that is. California sucks, don't come here.

You too please. You guys have an amazing talent for figuring out everything about a person by wether they support Tyler Walker or not.
