Are you including anything of Scotty getting his ass reamed by the official for being an idiot after Dusty Ballenger flipped? That was quite the ass chewing he received.

Idiot? Scotty didn't do anything wrong, he asked the first EMT if he was done with Dusty, that EMT said yes. Only then did Scotty go in for the interview. The second EMT (lady) didn't know that Scotty had spoke to the first EMT and was upset. She said Scotty pushed her out of the way...that did not happen! I think her feelings were hurt that Scotty went around her, but in no way shape or form did Scotty push her out of the way! In fact, Scotty didn't know she was an official until after the interview. Scotty ALWAYS works with the EMT's and officials during a wreck...always!

1. Scotty was the first one there. The car had barely stopped and Scotty was there, on the track. That is not his place. He should not have been anywhere that close to the car at that time yet or even afterwards.

2. Scotty should not be anywhere around the rescue crew when they are doing their job. Period.

Think what you want, but from what I saw, Scotty was being an idiot and could have been booted out. And this little tidbit comes from another of the rescue crew members. And I was standing in the infield in turn one so I do know what I saw. And it was not any of the EMT crew that ripped him a new ass but a track official.

I understand sticking up for your people but I'm quite sure the story you got was from Scotty.

I would say that unless your helping with the rescue you shouldn't be that close to the situation. He was in the way of the rescue crew.

If you honestly can't tell, there is no hope for you. He has no business whatsoever being that close, period.

Scotty did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG.  he is the consummate professional and was never in the way of anyone.  The EMT lady needs to get over herself.  Watch the video.  He stands and waits for the driver to clear the car.

1. Scotty was NOT the first one there - the first was a safety worker on a four wheeler. 2. Scotty was NOT in anyone's way - he stood back and reported on what was happening (his job) from a safe distance while the workers arrived and helped the driver. Only AFTER the driver was clear of the car did Scotty approach him and that move he made was to try to get the driver to turn toward the camera - driver instead turned his back during his rant. And that "EMT" lady .. wearing capri pants and deck shoes/tennies -- was it casual Friday on Saturday?? No wonder Scotty thought she was the driver's mom. Scotty owes nobody an apology - he did absolutely nothing wrong ... on the other hand several 'people' owe Scotty an apology.

I don't have a dog in this fight and wasn't there. Watching the video he was within 5 or 10 feet of the car when they were working on getting it over, looked like he was the 2nd person on the scene. It sounds to me like more than 1 responder or track official didn't like how close he was and told him after, so whats the argument here, don't get so close, if he was asked even by 1 responder not to be that close than give them some space the next time. He would have had the same view and got the interview afterwards if he'd have stood back 50 feet in the infield until the driver walked away. I'm not here to call anyone names or anything like that but it does appear he was closer than he should of been and obviously what others wanted him to be if he was asked afterwards to not be so close. Rather than calling names or making fun of the rescue crew, I'd say they should just be respected and listened to.

We take a lot of pride in our live audio, PPV and tape delayed broadcasts on RacinBoys/RBN. Scotty and I have done hundreds of live broadcasts together. Our goal is to bring the listener/viewer a up close experience that you can't get anywhere else. At the same time we are always aware of our surroundings and understand that safety comes first. I'm positive Scotty would have given the lady EMT her space if he had known she was one...she didn't look like a EMT at the time. She also showed up late to the wreck, so I'm not sure she knew the other EMT/Officials had spoke to Dusty. Sorry she was offended, there was no intent to do so.

Just want to point out...the Jackson track reporter (in yellows shirt) was doing his job in the same area as Scotty.

I'm moving on from this, hope to see you all at the track!
