Nobody held a gun to your head and forced you to go to it. I wish all of you constant complainers would just stay home.

For a day show, I thought it went about as good as can be expected. The only error was thinking they had to work the track between the A & the Worthless World Challenge. The one hour wait dried up what was a pretty racey surface and turned it into one-groove, rubber down for the glorified trophy dash.
Still, considering all the work the Dunkins have put into that track the last few days, they get a pass. Hopefully they can work their magic for the feature and somebody can run down Schitz and end this reign of terror.
Is this heaven?
No, it's Iowa....Knoxville, Iowa.

I agree with Vision...well said.
Should have left track alone and save us an hours time of waiting.

You're kidding right???? Three and close to four wide racing in the A. That show was much better than most WoO night shows. Whatever you think.

I also agree with vision, the group of people I meet in Knoxville for the races have for the last 3 years has stated that maybe they should have the nationals at a different location. They said rumor has it that Eldora and Las Vegas has wanted to host the event. I guess I wouldnt care but I only live 30 min. from Knoxville but I would still make the trip if they did. I would like your opinon on this, maybe alternate it between tracks or just leave it as it is.

Wow, people will complain about anything. When someone can control the weather let me know. Afternoon show was only option unless they kept everyone there another day or kept you up till 4am and if they did people like poster would bitch about that. They did what they could to mame best possible show for everyone. Anyway here is to great race tonight and best of Luck to BB.

The A main was actually pretty good. World challenge had its spots, but got rubber midway.

I agree. For a day show the A was a good fair track. They should have left it alone and ran the crappy World Challenge right away. Itb would have been way better.
Good track for the big show though. Maybe it was a 'big picture' deal and it worked for the big A.
I still have no idea why the format had to be changed. They should have ran the show we bought tickets for!

I was there outdoors from 11 AM Sat. till 1 AM sunday outdoors sober and I found nothing wrong with friday daytime show(sat.). The track was very good for a daytime show. You can get up off of your ass after the A main and not watch the Aussie show if you wish. The 14 hrs I spent in infield was a nice vacation for me.

My only question was....why work the very top (right against the fence)???? They never ran that high Thurs. or Fri. and was not up there Saturday aft. I have no problem with reworking the racing surface but reworking the very top where no one could run seemed a little overkill.

I thought it was an excellent show for afternoon and an above average show for anytime of day or night. Heats were follow the leader--then again, many 9:00 at night heat races are follow the leader. Track was very racey for afternoon.

Are you out of your mind. The Knoxville track holds the nationals, not we. If Eldora or Las Vegas wants to hold a race that they want to call the nationals they can do it. The track surface at LasVegas and Eldora are a piece of crap compared to Knoxville. The Knoxville grandstands and outside of grandstands are way better than Eldora or LasVegas. I am sorry it rained the one day and track worked its ass of to get all the races in. How could others do it better?

While the Dunkins do a great job, the main reason that the track stayed racey for most of the Saturday afternoon show was the cloud cover. In fact, if they would have left it alone after the A-Feature (when there was still a lot of cloud cover), then it wouldn't have taken rubber in the Kele World Challenge. While they were wasting time re-working the top groove (didn't need it), the sun started coming out, thus the track started rubbering up.
Also, the program started way too late and lasted way too long on Saturday night.

Agree on all counts. Even the Dunkins can't do anything about the sun. I knew when the checkered flag flew at 2 45 for the afternoon program, we'd miss the 7 15 goal by a lot. Getting out at close to 1 am on Saturday is a bit too late.
Small complaints on the whole though, another great week at Knoxville.

Great idea! Move the Knoxville nats. to Eldora! No city ,no fairboard much more parking and camping close to the track.Problem is Lasoski hates Eldora. And its not Shatz,s best track so he couldnt win it every year.
