The way dirtvision is run, I'm starting to think its run by our disfunctional government. They can't even get the basics right like the audio. I'm pretty sure we'll get a lame response, like our government, and blame it on the internet, and not take responsibility for the garbage they give us.

It is like the government. It works for some but doesnt work for others, mainly due to thier own devices.  So instead of working to fix that they get on a message board and bitch about it.

I'm not here to complain just have a question for others listeners. When I listen it seems to work fine for all the interviews, intermission hearing about t-shirt guns, JG pre recorded commercials, and to some extent the filler class like the mods last night. But as soon as actuall sprint car racing starts I get troubles. I swear I can sit through a 10 minute red flag they get the line up set drop the green and it goes out. Maybe in another life I was a hardcore fender fan and the sprint car gods like messing with me who knows....

I think it's the fact that they feel qualified and are in the business to offer free audio or PPV when they can't even do sound. Then some jerk comes on here and tries to be the forum police/ computer expert and tell us it's our "devices" that are the problem!. I wouldn't be on here talking about the free audio if it worked.

My guess on this would be that at the times your talking about alot of people shut it off so the servers aren't as bogged down. I watch race monitor during it usually so if theres a break in the action I turn off the audio and then when I see on race monitor its starting again I'll turn the audio back on and if many people do that too maybe that is why it can be glitchy during the actual race. Just a thought, cause I doubt its a conspirecy on the part of dirtvision to make back race audio but to make sure you hear the commercials without interuption.

Wow - Name calling already?

I made my point. I have no issues with Dirtvision. Do others have issues? I'm sure they do. A joke was made relating Dirtvision to Politics. So I made a joke back, pardon me. But While I am on joking, maybe you should quit spending so much time on the internet for your racing fix and actually go outside and go to a race.

P.S. It might help in your dating life also.

If there was a problem with Dirtvision audio last night, my guess is that it had very little to do with the Dirtvision end of things and probably was the fault of the internet signal at the track.  In other words, our fault, not theirs.

The best place for Johnny Gibson to announce from at Jacksonville was a booth on our backstretch.  We have good internet and Wifi serving the grandstand area on the front stretch, but it wouldn't reach where Johnny was announcing from.. and that wasn't a problem we could fix on the spot.

So the other option is cellular data. Jacksonville is a Verizon death trap and I think that's what he comes outfitted with, but we have an AT&T cell tower in our pits.  We got him an AT&T hotspot to work with... but as we have noticed ourselves at the track, we are almost too close to the cell tower at times and a 4g signal isn't as reliable as you would think basically standing underneath the tower.

My guess is that any Dirtvision audio problems you experienced last night were our fault.  If we ever have the chance to do this again, the problem will be resolved well in advance.

Race Monitor was off and on all night, so I think the track internet is the culprit. Dirtvision does have its issues quite often, but I don't think it was their fault last night.

WOW!!!! Big Props to you for standing up and admiting it may have been the tracks internet not dirtvision. I have had issues with dirtvision video in the past, but to come on here and complain about a free audio feed is just weak, I know how you complainers can fix it, turn it off, that way there will be a better signal for the rest of us.

I have done the FREE audio from Dirtvidion for several weeks this year and I think it gets better every week...maybe a couples of times I had to refresh or something like that, they bring us the races from some places that some of us just can`t get to. One more thought, if they were to just go away then we could complain about that.

Just buy the race monitor app and follow that during WoO events. Up to date by the second and you don't have to follow twitter or facebook to wait for updates. Free or not, DirtVision flat out SUCKS.

we have mediacom for TV.  We had a terrible time getting dirtvision.  All it did was buffered.  Mediacom sent a guy out and he sort of acted like it was his mission from god to figure it out.   He messed around for several hours.  Next time we tried Dirtvision came in perfect.  My guess is that you need to go to your internet company.

I've used different computers, different internet providers, different browsers, all the different possibilities and its usually hit and miss. It was nice to see someone taking responsibility for what happened Wednesday night thou.

I was watching the chat room and not everyone was losing audio at the same time - some still had it when others didn't (including me frequently) -- so I wouldn't be too quick to accept blame on this one. Kudos to all involved on a spectacular event and here's hoping you get the chance to do it again ... and soon.

I remember the old days.  You had to buy a ticket to the race.
