It really sucks that TK is not coming back east with the world of outlaws...I thought for sure with the way his season has been going and all the outlaw wins he has this season that he would for sure stay with them and beat on them a little more!

You have to understand there is more to racing than running the WoO schedule.
TK is a true racer and he "goes where he wants and races what he wants to race."
To TK, I'm guessing he thinks some upcoming races here are more important than following the circus the next month or so.

I highly doubt TK passed up 10 races that pay at least 10k to win including the 50k to win natty open. Probably a decision made by Roth to avoid the travel expenses of 6 more weeks on road and 2 cross country trips.

Probably a decision by TK of how he feels about racing a big event before the home crowd.

Sounds like a good business decision to me.

It makes no sense to follow the Outlaws back to the east coast. Let's say you had an AVERAGE FINISH of 3rd in all the remaining races (10) - that's less than $30,000 in prize $$$, per mapquest, it's roughly a 7200 mile trip for them to leave Antioch, follow the Oulaws and then return to CA, so when you figure in fuel, you are spending $7000 just to TRAVEL from track to track (plus wear and tear on the truck and trailer), then add in hotels, meals, and what it costs to put the car on the track and you've spent more than what comes in (Joey Saldana said it costs $3000 PER RACE to unload the car from the trailer on Winged Nation Tuesday). It doesn't make any financial sense for ANYONE, let alone a CA based race team.

i dont think Mr roth cares what it cost for TK and the team to be on the road Mr roth wants to see that team run around home some i think that has more to do with the team leaving for the road late and coming home early more than anything ells

Whatever.
He isn't going.
He's staying home and racing before his "homies."
We are fine with that decision and really could care less what a "few" feel regarding his decision.

I am just tickled that TK will be running out here. Yeah, we got Kyle and Abreu and they are terrific, but for my money TK is the most exciting driver to watch. To see him run up against the fence at Tulare is heart stopping. TK will be running this Sat. at Fernley in Nevada and the next Sat. at Tulare with the King of the West series. Then on Oct. 12 he should be at the Cotton Classic, a KoW show at Hanford which is a must see show. The frosting on the cake will be the Trophy Cup at Tulare on Oct. 17,18 and 19. On the 17th T Cup runs a 360 nonwing show with around 60 cars and on the 18th and 19th runs up to 80 winged 360's. After seeing the Outlaws at Chico last week, where they put the fast cars in front, the Trophy Cup is always the best show in Cal., because the fast cars start in the back for the features. BTW No more outlaw shows for me. They run hotlaps over and over until the track is dry slick. By the time for the feature there was so much dust and dirt, sitting in the bleachers was miserable.

9 wins, 26 top 5's, 34 top 10's with the outlaws this season is awesome. Hope they are taking this time to set up a full Outlaw deal for next season.
Only 11 WoO races left. I think TK can find 11 races in Cali by the time the season is over.
As for the earnings; A win in Cali pays 2k-3k, and the TC pays vary well. 2,3k is like a top 5 with the outlaws without the hotels and huge fuel bills. (1k to start KWS Nevada races)
Another thought is; Tim needs to get used to the 360 again before the Trophy Cup. He ran the Johnny Key and said the 360 felt way different after only running 410 only all season.

We have the cotton classic and the Trophy cup coming up . Think Roth wants to stay home where the fan base is. We also have KWS and usac 360s at Tulare on sept 21st. See all of you there.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Tim will more than likely be at the Fall Nationals 2 day show at Chico at the end of the month as well. He has been there the past few years.

TK isn't afraid to fall on his face anywhere and never backs down to a challenge, however, he can only go where the owner allows and with the lose of a crew chief... Tim also knows how tough it is to make the A in Pa and can admit it. unlike some.
