Not sure. But at least Larson won this time so you don't look as clueless wink

Not sure about the top 4, but they took 9 of 10 spots and 8 of 10 in consecutive WoO races in 2009 at the start of the 9 race winning streak.  Not sure how that compares, Cali had had a good run by the locals that actually race there, that's for sure.

...and I wish Schafz performed in PA the same way he does in CA.

Thats very impressive. Not only to do it once, but almost twice in consecutive nights, wow. Last night, it was 5 out of the top 10, with Jason Statler running 8th.

*oops misread the post above, not on consecutive nights, thanks for pointing out.

I don't think it was consecutive nights, if memory serves me that was the spring race and summer nationals.  Each weekend had a rain out.  Also, at that time I know one of the 'posse' was Pittman so it's not  apples to apples

What a distant memory this was. The first race listed was my first ever WoO race in Posse land.

And like Latsh said, both of the prelim-night nights were rained out those weekends, cutting the purse in half.

Years ago and I'm not sure which year it was because I'm relying on memory but the top 4 from a prelim night that were locked into the A-Main for the next night were all Posse drivers, and they had 9 out of the top 10 that night as well. The Friday night show was going to be on TNN and I was curious how much talk the Posse would get considering their performance the night before, but of course, that show was rained out as well. And speaking of memory, the 1999 National Open prelim had Cris Eash, Fred Rahmer, and Lance Dewease as the top 3. Can't remember who was 4th, this of course was the same Open where Schatz stopped by the pit entrance allowing Mark Kinser to get Rahmer on the ensuing restart. Ahh the memories.......

TK is not a "local" this year and of course neither is Larson. I'll give you Forsberg, Alllard and even Meyers, but a NASCAR guy and someone who's run 80% of woo races are not California "locals"

Oh here we go, that didn't take too long. Is it not possible to still be a fan of your beloved Posse and also show support of another region and its drivers handing it to the WoO?

Cheers!

Credit where credit is due...the locals pounded the WoO!

Agreed.  It's obvious the sprint car talent resides there, not sure why KWS isn't a bigger deal.  If I lived in Cali, Id be following it for sure and enjoying the better weather.  I sometimes wonder if it wouldn't help PA racing to have a series similar to KWS, where the tracks could come together and put purses up at least similar to the All-Star purse, or more.  I think the tracks could still operate independently, charge a little less for the non-KWS type shows with a slightly smaller purse, save the bigger purse for the track that gets it that night.   Run Friday/Saturday/Sunday night(or Thursday/Friday/saturday)...with the higher purse and the gaurantee of bigger names it brings, you could fill stands in Central PA on a Sunday or Thursday night, and give guys that want to do this for a living a chance at purse money 3 nights a week.  The lower purse for the non-series race would still get the true "work all week, load up the car Friday" racer that PA has in abundance (and give them the opportunity to make as much or more money by finishing higher than they normally would - while entertaining the fans), while the Stewart/Harz/Hamilton type teams that are no longer around and did it for money and big wins, could still do that following the local series.  It would probably kill 358 racing in PA, but after the engine they cost the same to run and the higher purse money 410s vs 358s will easily offset that cost.  Used ex-Posse and WoO engines that the big teams don't use anymore are affordable and plenty of guys are running good with home built re-builds of them.

Credit is due and I congratulate them.  Kaeding and Larson's current schedules and arrangements remind me a lot of Stevie Smith (not so much Larson since he's a superstar, but he's born and raised Cali and he came home to race and that's cool), Smith will always be Posse, just like Kaeding will always be Cali, unless they join a sanction like the WoO - then for those years, the WoO would claim them.

CA produces drivers that go out and win on the tour, Posseland does not unless you go back to the late G-Man or Stevie Smith and that's a very long time ago.  Myers, Kaeding and Tyler Walker are a few with multiple wins out on the road, heck even Brad Furr won at Port Royal on a night that had ONE Posse car running when the checkered flag flew.  There were years when the Outlaws used to run 6 or 7 times at the Grove and they swept 'em all, back in the 90's, look it up.....

Kaeding and Larson are true outlaws that originate from Cali. Smile

Can't we just say, "The last two nights the Cali boys handed the WoO Traveling Circus their lunch" and let it go at that?

He is far from a Posse cheerleader.

Henry, can you chill out your boys, please? They're worse than Cubic... at least he is sarcastic. I remember when those same posters were giving Posse fans shit about the same thing they are doing right now.

Once again you compare a state of 38 million to a few counties of less than half a million people and call it apples to apples.  My guess is they produce more of everything lol.  When are you going to get over the 90's?  It was 15 years ago, leave your basement, make yourself relevent again.  Please.  11 of the top 13 in Outlaw points were irrelevent during the time period you harp on as the standard of sprint car racing, look it up...
