Well, when I tried to edit it erased my original post which said, "Not Busch, he signed yesterday with Smoke and the 39 car will be sponsored by Haas."

I heard Ganassi announcement will be on Friday the 30th at 2:35 EST. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I guess I have mixed emotions on this one.
Jamie is from my home town...Joplin, Mo.
I like Larson but I also like McMurray.
I think the sponsor has had some great input on the forthcoming decision.

Larson would be replacing Montoya, not McMurray, who is in the 1 for at least one more year after this.

Thanks smoker...my old, feeble brain got carried away. It is the 42 in question...not the #1..which has one more year. I think it is a safe bet an announcement will be made around this time next year on who will be driving the #1 in 2015.
Now can we get back to REAL racing stuff!!!

larson is 8th in points in the nationwide series and has one win in the trucks. already ahead of danawrecky and she finishes a consistent 24th or so. just saying and comparing...

Think we all knew Larson was going to drive the 42 next season. I hear McMurray's contract is up at the end of this season with a certain soon to be ex SHR driver will be Larson's teammate not Jamie.

i would say the odd's are getting better by the minute here, jamie mac won a few prestigious races
in the last several years.
and of course another X dirt guy in ryan newman chompin at the bit......

I was kinda hoping they would put Kyle in the no.1 car and move McMurray to the 42 or put Newman in it, either way you can pretty much count on Kyle obviously making the move up, we'll just have to see how it plays out.

The 42 is ideal especially if that big TARGET is gonna stay on the hood. Pretty damn good sponson to have on your race car. I hope he shows them all that he's there to win. Get um Kyle.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.
