TS will Never stop racing sprint cars period, and I guess he'll never tell any of his drivers to not drive midgets or sprints as well. It's what he is and does regardless of money and all that goes with NAPCAR. Thats a Roger Penske move, ask Mears, Unser and Bettenhausen.

Yup
Finally livin the dirt dream.

he ran out of talent again in the lead... wadded up another one.

You obviously know nothing about any form of racing. We sure dont need gray matter of such in the sprint car racing family. Maybe they need to ban all tractor tires being used around tracks. Never seen any good come from making contact with those things. like him or not Tony is one hell of a racer dirt or asphalt. Don't like seeing anybody get hurt.

Please do not feed the trolls, it only encourages them
Wouldn't want to be the guy who has to call Mobil 1, Bass Pro Shops, Mr hendrick, etc and tell them why Tony is not going to be racing for awhile. Probably most of his sponsors understand his passion for sprint cars, but guessing their accountants will not be thrilled.
Get well Tony. Not your biggest fan, but it sucks when any driver gets hurt. If you are gonna get hurt, might as well do it while you leading and going for the win. There's been a rash of bad crashes in the sport lately, a broken leg is not fun, but it could been much worse.

Stewart-Haas Racing announced that Stewart broke the tibia and fibula in his right leg and underwent surgery at a local hospital.

No hand jobs. Stewart will be out of the 14 next week at The Glen and most likely will be out of the car for weeks. Reported by Stewart Hass Racing

Get well soon Tony.
I'm sure he has been going wide open his whole life. If I were him I would use this as a much needed vacation and recoup for a couple of months on the French Riviera with a harem of models as nurses. You can't keep a sprint car racer down.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car
much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com

ESPN already reporting Tony's chase hopes are over this year. Those guys are fast at reporting on big stars. I want Smoke to race the remaining races, but if reports are saying compound-fracture and Stewart will miss awhile..please put Larson in the car.
|
Pretty sure Ganassi won't allow that to happen.

I'm glad he is okay. He had no place to go. Unfortunately this will probably make ESPN And the bashing of sprint car racing will continue.

With Tony's recent flips and now injury I wonder if Larson's car owners in Nascar will have a sit down with him and discuss no more sprint car racing.
|
After his accident at Eldora I heard they asked him not to run non-wing. I don't know if that's true or not, but I'm sure Tony's accident will succeed in keeping Larson out of sprints now.

Lets talk about the latest rumor on IBRACN that has to do with something cool instead of all this nonsense.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

First and foremost get well Tony. Second I can already hear David Newton and all of the ESPN idiots typing away at their keyboards. Thinking stuff about "Sprint Car racing is the most unsafe thing in the world, drivers die daily, the track owners do not have safe tracks, etc." What a bunch of bulls**t. I'm sure if it happened at Pocono this would not have been a big deal but since it happened on a dirt track, lets light the torches and grab the pitchforks big media.

A check from Chevy woukd carry great influence on EGR's thinking. However, Chevy has a great stable of road racers they could put into the car for the Glen.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Smoke start the race and then immediately pull in to swap drivers. This would ensure points continue in his name as well as team SHR. If anyone in NASCAR is tough enough to do it, he is. And he has attitude to do it just to prove to reporters and naysayers that this isn't going to keep him down.
