Maybe we need to slow the 5 car down??
|
I'd say this late in the year why would they want to slow the 5 car down? He is dominating a begginer class to where its gonna kill the 305's at Knoxville. Someone earlier this year says the officials aren't checking him? Any truth?? Good luck to all 305 drivers to a second place finish when 5j is there.

the 82 and the 19k are both improving and getting faster every week! the 82 is pretty fast down the straights and holds a very tight line in the corners. a few more nights both of these cars will be pretty close to being on pace. these cars are not easy to drive especially just starting out. wheres your race car at ?
|
Your right, the 82 IS getting faster every week. One year ago at this point he was being put a lap down somewhere
around lap 4. This year he has improved to getting lapped somewhere around lap 5. The 82 does do a nice job of
holding a straight line and i'm not criticizing him for anything really other than not standing on the gas a little more.
Sawyer Phillips (15 year old rookie) put Lee a lap down in his first heat race several weeks ago.
I don't have a racecar but as I previously said, driving these cars can't be easy, However, we've seen a ton of rookies
come into the 305 class and run laps around the 82.

I understand they did check the 5 once this year but that was 3 or 4 days after the race and done at his shop!!!
Hard to tell what the results really were??
Dirt is for racing. Asphalt is for getting there.

Oh really?? Well that tells ya how much the tech officials didn't want to be embarrassed!!! Of course he was said to be legal at shop huh?? As a fan its sad to see driver/tie-ends with the officials. Sure hope they volunteer and not get paid to tech?!?!?
