Does Balog finally get the W against these guys this week? He started deep in the field last year and was right on Blaney and Schaffer's tail at the checkered. If he can start in the first few rows this time, I like his chances. I'd like to see the 80k start up front too. I like Dale Blaney, but I'm really hoping not to see him on the front row again. I'm thinking Blaney, Schaffer, Danny Holtgraver, and Cap Henry will all be there. Who else?
It was great when Dave Moulis won the Gumout Series race there back in the day. I think it's about time the locals defend the home turf once again...

Dave moulis won the gumout race two years in a row.The gumout guys said his win was a fluke. I told them he was going to win tonight and said I would be back after the race. they wouldn't talk to me after the race.

That is as good as it is gonna get. It is an annoying buzz like a mosquito. They are all related to each other, one more ignorant than the other.. I keep saying that it makes for comical reading, that someone so ignorant is still alive and can take of themselves. Wait, they live in their Mom's basement so I take that back.... hell yea i was there the allstars were there i would pay 50 dollars to see the allstars or the outlaws and drive 500 miles also i also used to love watching the ira i went to 15 ira shows in 2010 but that 17b is killing the sport and the fans no it he cheats thats all there is to it how can you cheer or stick up for a guy that everyone no's is cheating tell him to loose the traction control and well see how he does then he will spin out alot i will not watch a ira only show untill balog moves on and i no i aint the only one who wants to see the same guy win every race especially when he is cheating and it isnt the driving skill like donny schatz he wins all the time to but its driving skill

backspacer the deal is if it was changed to that then people would find something wrong with it and bitch about it to there is no perfect way to do a race format no matter what it is people will bitch instead of enjoying a good night of racing. speedweek in ohio alot of times you have someone 9th or 10th quick in the dash not the fastest 6. you still got to make it out of the heat race and sometimes thats not easy ask blaney shaffer henry holtgraver helms they will tell you that

Hey Butch, I don't disagree with you that no matter what, no system is perfect and people will complain. I just think some formats are better than others and I personally like the WoO formula better. Brad Sweet at the Kings Royal this year was a perfect example of a driver who qualified bad but made up for it by winning his heat. I realize the Royal uses a different format than even a normal Outlaw show, but it still rewards guys for winning their heat. He would've been screwed if they used the All Star format. Like I said, I just like the WoO and IRA formats better, that's all. It probably doesn't help that I'm a bitter Wisconsin sprint car fan that just wants to see the locals do well. If you need me, I'll just be over here with my humble pie...

anyone no where i can get some really nice balog t shirts made that say balog sucks on one side and traction controll is for loosers on the other that would be awesome could you imagine man id be stylin.

Remember that one of those years Dave Moulis beat the Gumout guys twice in one night. He received the checkered flag with a red or yellow flag the first time. Then they decided to give their guys another try with a green white checkered finish and he beat them again.

Why is it that you get so offencive when someone points something out about balog? No one is going after you talking stupid about you, right away you have to bash the person. I know sprintflier quite well and he probably knows more about sprint car racing than you. Before the races sitting at Pizza Time down the road from the track we also ran into 2 people who also believe balog is using T.C. Sitting in the grandstands, samething the guy in front of me said the same thing "Screw balog and his T.C." So its becoming quite apparent to others also that something is not right. And if balog was so good he should have qualified in the top5 with all the track time he has there. For christ sakes he got beat by 2 young guns that never seen that track before.

And you fit right in with all of them. Don't you think the other drivers that are getting beat by supposed 'traction control' would quit wasting their time knowing they had no chance? It is pretty moronic to think that traction control is being used after he has won 5 titles. Let's see proof, until then, shut up, watch the race and hope maybe someone with a little bit more talent on any given night can beat him. He has the set up down, and I'll say it again, the only traction control he uses is his left foot, and if you don't know what that means, well..........

Im not going to bash anyone directly. Here are just the things I KNOW about Billy Balog. Keep in mind I am not even a Balog fan and would love to see someone else knock him off his thrown. He started racing in Alaska. In Alaska the tracks are really sandy and you have to learn, and become good at throttle control to be able to pass anyone. When he came and ran as a rookie with the IRA he was fast. He has gotten better and better every year. He had 3 solid nights with the Outlaws at LaSalle, Beaver Dam and Cedar Lake against tall competition (5th, 11th & 6th). He follows that up with starting 10th and finishing 4th at an All Stars show behind 3 guys who run more races a year, have more money behind them and all started in front of him (Starting 1st, 3rd and 5th). Is it just possible that he is a step above the IRA but a small step below the Outlaws? He misses setups sometimes too. Earlier this year Kertcher beat him by almost half a lap at Beaver Dam. And that doesnt include the race that him and Kertscher were dead nuts even across the line. He is at the top of his game around these parts
Real race cars don't have fenders...

Balog had a crew change at Wilmot. He also blew his qualifying lap in turns 3 and 4 if you were paying attention. That is just 2 things I noticed Saturday night.

Stealth, did you even read the above posts? Racingfish heard in some bumfuk pizza joint that Balog is using traction control...it must be true! You made some intelligent points on the subject, but we all know there's no room for intelligence when it comes to the trolls. The whole traction control thing is so frickin' stale at this point, I can't even take someone seriously after they bring it up. Not that you can take half of these clowns seriously to begin with, but you know what I'm sayin'...

balog must have missed the setup because the track was actually decent that wilmot is the biggest shit hole in wi i think its because steve sinclaire likes it someone will get seriously injured in that heap they call a grandstand before they replace it luckly i only go there once a year when theres good drivers around. thats all i have to say see eveyone at a real sprintcar race the knoxville nationalls were balog prolly wont be im sure his motor will blow up on the dyno yet he will make every ira show with a screaming motor mabe sinclaire will borrow him one he seems happy about destroying his own series. car count is down fans are down

Cap Henry's motor was going away fast in the heat. He came into the pits with his headers glowing red and shooting flames. The mag got loose and spun messing up the timing. It made for a good race though.
