Big H was a 1/4 mile dirt track. Also the best track ever in texas it was sold in the 90's and turned into a parking lot actually a assault track went from the best to worse. Damn shame, Brad and Pat pounds owned it

Yes, it is now owned by the Baker family. It is an asphalt track that runs everything from stock cars to modifides. There is an 1/8th mile drag strip there now with lots of big events. There is also a dirt bike track they have built on the lot next to it. Big H was built by Ed McDonald.

I remember that track fondly. After flying into Houston from Toronto, I went to look at the track-as I was never there before.

Art Malies(Working Woody) and Craig Keel and I formed a freiendship from that afternoon before the evening race-and what a race it was, as Craig almost won it.

Very nice. I didn't start going ot Big H until 88 when I moved to Houston. I crewed on a 360 the last two seasons that it was dirt (season and a half, they shut down halfway through the season to start paving).
