Need some help on a project. Who won the non-winged 360 portion of the Western World Championships at Manzanita Speedway in 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001? Thanks.

Hello,
Thanks, but that champion list is for the "featured divison." For example, during some of the "wing" events, CRA also raced at Manzanita. In 1990, Steve Kinser is listed as the winner, but "The Ripper" Rip Williams won the non-winged feature.
The same goes for the non-winged 360s. "The Kruser" Cory Kruseman won the "Wingless 360 Western" in 2005, 2006, and 2007. Josh Ford won in 2004. According to Windy McDonald's books, Wayne Bennet won the 1st Wingless 360 Western at Manzy in 1991.

That's right, they did have the 360's out on the short track for some of the Westerns, but I'm not sure if they were there for all the years ASCA was around.

Don Appley, the fuel guy at Manzy, will probably have the answers. He is in ill health, but last I heard he is recovering.
Phil Hertel of Raceway fuels should be able to get you in touch with him.
