Well it’s official, Krikke MotorSport will be contesting the Australian Sprintcar Championship with former Australian Sprintcar champ and Aussie World of Outlaw star Kerry Madsen behind the wheel of the W2 Toyota Genuine Parts Cool car. “I’m excited to be able to secure Kerry (Madsen) to pilot our hotrod for the Aussie Title in Archerfield in January. I believe that he is one of just a few drivers that can get the job done at that track and the team is really looking forward to joining forces with him. He is in good form coming off 5 World of Outlaw wins this year and this summer is shaping up to be a very different one for us which actually makes it very exciting. It is not what we were planning obviously but that is the way it has panned out and I am looking forward to the new challenge, in fact we all are.” announced Shane Krikke. Kerry will be flying in for a short stay where hopefully he can secure the Title before heading back to the States to his American race team, Keneric Racing. Peter Gavranich (owner of Keneric Racing) had this to say “We would love nothing more than to have Kerry Madsen driving a Keneric Racing #29 car competing each summer within Australia as a 1 car operation, this is high priority on our list, however, at this point and time it is unrealistic due to 2013 World of Outlaw commitments and team preparation in the USA. An opportunity became available for Kerry Madsen to drive for the Krikke Motorsport Team at the Australian sprint car title and the Krikke Motorsport Team has a fantastic record in Australian Sprint car racing along with a top reputation as one of the best teams in the country. The particulars of the deal are of no concern to anyone apart from Keneric Racing & Krikke Motorsport however let it be known that Kerry is not there to make up numbers. Coming off the back of a successful US campaign with the World of Outlaws where we secured 5 outlaw wins Krikke Motorsports and Kerry Madsen would have to be classed as one of the favourites to take out such a prestigious event” Krikke MotorSport’s year of racing just keeps getting more exciting as the season approaches. Their first race is planned for December 22nd where Tim Kaeding will get to strap himself in to the KMS hotrod for the first time as he competes at Warrnambool’s Sungold Stadium. Krikke MotorSport would like to thank their ongoing sponsorship partners: Toyota Genuine Parts, AJC Group, Cool Chassis, Maxwill Race Engines, Mercure Hotel Parramatta, Mega Motors, PWR, BR Motorsports, A1 Sign Shop, Valvoline, A.Lucas Spraypainters, GT Fabrication, Revolution Racegear, Alberts & Vortex.
