Shout out to three of my favorite sprint car drivers as they
start the 1100 mile trek tomorrow in the 45th annual Baja 1000. Cory
Kruseman, Rickie Gaunt & Trevor Cooper are driving a two seat Class 1
Unlimited Buggy prepped by fellow open-wheeler Danny Ebberts. Good luck boys,
see you back in the USA
& don’t drink the water!

That is so cool. I hope they really enjoy it - and I hope they learned the course ahead of time.
Shock wave - I ran the Baja 1000 from Ensanada to La Paz in '69 - I think it was. What an experience. I had never been to that part of the country before or driven a dune buggy before... but we almost made it to the end. We did - with the aid of a tow rope. No preparation - but a really interesting experience. One of those things to put on your "bucket list".

Unleash your inner Ivan Stewart or Parnelli Jones. Good luck and have fun. I went to the Baja back in 88 and I'll never forget how awesome it was.

Steve "Biggie" Watt, owner of many midget and sprint cars that compete in California, and owner of Maxwell Industries in Ventura, is the fourth driver on the team!
