I won't take my kids to races because of stuff like this. I am sure I am not the only one. It's sad to see this. Some fans want to see this. You hear them in the background. Not the kind of fans you want anyway. Drunk and scummy.

Sadly this is the reason why racing has the sterotype of being a bunch drunk rednecks going around in circles. That is far from the truth but its situations like this that gets put onto all of the sports shows instead of the actual Racing and this is the reason why no one wants to bring their families to the track. Because some idiots like these people are involved. Another example would be the morons at knoxville this past year. All we heard about after the Nationals was that there were two drunk guys that ruined the experience for everyone, and nothing about the racing.

I usually refrain from posting on discussion like this, but as a person who's life has changed because of neck and disc damage, there is no way this guy should have left the track on his own. What goes around comes around. I give the guy in he car alot of credit for maintaining after what could have resulted in serious injury. I have seen alot of drivers still strapped in cars get attacked lately. What a bunch of true cowards.

heard he hit him so hard it damaged the helmet and he needed to use another one to finish the race, and schank has been banned for life from the track.

I remember seeing a post by the track wanting to know the identity of the guy that comes in late in a black hoodie and bends down on the left side of the car. He comes into the shot at about the 17 second mark. He appears to mess with the car and as a result, the yellow car is pushed to the pits because it was tampered with and wasn't going to start. I'm guessing (to me anyway) that the guy in the black hoodie bends down and cuts the plug wires...more than just pulls them off as Jason Sides did to Sammy a few years ago. It looks like he has something in his had as he leaves and folds it down. I don't know if that issue was resolved by the track or not.

Shanks actions also had him taken off the roster list for the Trophy Cup . Can you see this jerk acting like this around the make a wish foundation . The trophy cup is a great race for us fans but its more for make a wish.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.
