HT2 right-rear tires are required for The Ovals. Are they required for the Canyon National? Can we run HT2 tires this weekend at Perris?

I don't know why they're saying you have to run a HT2 at the Ovals as that tire and the HTW are identical tires,as far as what the rules are and if I'm reading it correctly the HT2,HTW,DT3 and the Hard 55 are all legal tires to run in either the National series or CRA.I know we ran a HTW at some Sprintweek shows and nobody said anything.

Section 313 of the 2012 USAC Rule Book: 313 Tires
A. Hoosier HT2, HTW (same as HT2), hard F55 and DT3 only approved Right rear tire, LR, RF and LF open. The HTW is a west coast tire that is identical to HT2

My concern was that we needed to buy HT2 right-rears for the National races and would not be able to use them before or after. CK clarified that either tire is legal for USAC/CRA races. Most everyone will buy tires anyway, so it is pretty much a non-issue. All I can figure is that USAC must have to business reason for requiring the HT2 tires.

That's pretty much what I figured.Like I said before they're the same tire,The W just signifies west coast tires.
