Thanks to all of you. Freedom is favored by so many, but is paid for by so few...

#15 Navy '57-'60 RM2 ComCarDiv 7 Admiral's staff . . . . Bonhomm Richard, Hancock, Midway, Shangri-la, Lexington, Ranger, and Oriskany.In the last 3 years, using zabasearch.com have located 22 guys I served with and had reunions.

We were on the Shang for '58 Westpac Cruise. We were about to make port in Kobe when the Shang was sent out to the Quemoy shootout in the Taiwan Straits. The Lex came on station early to relieve Shangri-la. The flag highlined off Shang to a refer then back to Lex. Combined between Shang and Lex the guys in the flag were at sea for 56 days straight.

Do you have a cruise book from that cruise? I was just looking at mine.

#39 US Navy 88-94, USNR 96-99. USS Philadelphia, SSN 690 90-94. If anyone knows Nick Corea, who ran sprints in Indiana, he was doing the same job on the USS Boston ( or maybe the the Providence), at the same time. Nick, if you are you reading this, how does being a 'Wile E Supergenius' pay these days?
