I went check out the 305's running at Golden Triangle in Beaumont Friday night. This was my first 305 sprint race and MAN I got to say I was pretty impressed. These cars were quick and stayed green. I feel for the 49 car though cause he was hooked up but blew up with a handful of laps to go. His name is Ty Johnson. Any relation to Jason Johnson being from Louisiana and all? I couldnt make the second night in Cleveland. Does anyone know the results? Just curious.

Hey Dirtaddict, Glad to find another 305 fan in the south. I was at the Cleveland track last night and Ty Johnson won and yes he is related to Jason somehow. If he did blow a motor his backup motor kicks a$$ cause he won by a straight away.

Well bless his heart!! I kinda walked by his trailer afterwards to tell him that he did a great job considering, but I couldnt muster the courage to walk up to the guy cause he looked so bummed. Glad to hear He did well. Thanks for the reply. GOD BLESS!!

First, I wanna say thanks for comming out to watch the RACESAVER Louisiana Bayou Sprinters.. Great group of drivers. Ty (we call him "the Bayou Bullet") is Jason's 2nd cousin. Jason's Dad and Ty's grandfather (my Dad) are Brothers. Looks like we broke an oil pump shaft Friday while leadin. Kent Lewis Jr & Sr. (long time Houston area racers LOANED us a motor for Sat nite., and we did Win that race in Cleavand. (We thank the Lewis family tremendously..!!). Jason and Ty have been racing together since they were babies in Jason's back yard, on the Family Kart track. As we all know Jason went on to have a very succesful Sprint Car career while Ty races around home.. So, come on out and look for th49er at Track in the South. Find Ty Johnson on facebook. Or the Lousiana Bayou Sprinters. Thanks, Todd Johnson
