Congratulations to Bill Badger of Saugus, California for winning the Inaugural "Flyin' Fossil" Senior Sprint Car Championship in 2011. Bill had some stellar runs in the Badger Brothers Racing 360 Sprint car during the 4-race series held at Perris Auto Speedway. The car is a XXX Chassis powered by a Pick's Racing Engines 360, and is fielded by his brother, Jim Badger.

As promised on this Message Board at the beginning of the season, I handed the Badger Brothers a crisp new $100 bill in the pits at Victorville Raceway Park last night, prior to the 360 Senior Sprint Car races, for having the highest overall point total of teams that entered every scheduled race at PAS. Shortly after that, Bill started the night off rather well with a heat race win in the 360 division and a decent run in the Senior heat, despite having an ill-handling car. However, Bill's night was turned upside down (literally) at the start of the 360 A-Main, when he biked the car in Turn 3 and took a violent ride that ended in Turn 4. Fortunately, Bill was able to climb from the wrecked heap under his own power and was still similing in the pits after the races.

I hope this series continues next season...these guys race their hearts out for nothing more than the love of the sport!
