It's amazing, Light rain for about 30 minutes, then it stops raining and they cancel the races. They should have made an effort to get this race in for the fans. After all, gas prices aren't getting any cheaper. Also admission prices were too much for a $3000.00 to win event. Eldora's prices were cheaper last weekend and they paid a normal All-Star purse.

Track officials said it would take up to an hour and a half to get the track back to race conditions - and it was already 10:00ish and supposedly more rain was headed that way, though I don't know if it rained anymore or not. They could have probably got it in, but it would have been a late one for sure...assuming it didn't rain yet again. I don't know - we were all disappointed, but mother nature dealt us another kick in the groin.

I was out in the parking lot talking to some freinds that came over from Pa for well over an hour after the race was called. It didn't rain again in that time but it certainly looked like it could have started at any second. It's one of those deals where your damned if ya do and damned if ya don't.

I think they def. could have got it in they just did not want to. It would have taken maybe an hour to get the track ready to race on... and whats up with the no rain check so now if you want to go back to watch the features you have to pay.. What a Joke!!!!!!!!

Well, I was one of those friends from PA that Powerslave was talking to and the way I see it is that Ive seen it rain much harder at other dirt trax and with just a little effort on the trax part we could have went racing agin for sure. I had a 400 mile round trip and 80 dollars in gas to see that race and we got shafted in my mind. The peeps that I brought with me felt the same way too. The race wasnt the only reason we drove to Attica as we went to see our friends from Ohio also which still made the trip worthwhile. I just dont understand why they waited until after it stopped raining to call the race. By the time we got 5 miles up the road from the track the roads were already starting to dry. We talked about it the entire 200 miles home from Attica and came to the conclusion that if they seriously wanted to run the show tjhey would have had the track trucks running the surface in right after the red flag was displayed and they ordered the cars back to the pits. We also concluded that with such a small crowd in the stands the track stood to lose money or not make enough profit after the payout so that was also most likely a deciding factor in the cancellation. I seen the same thing happen at Sharon Speedway years ago with a Stars Late Model show. Hardly anyone in the stands and we had a very brief 8 minute shower and they called the race! There wasnt even a puddly formed in the parking lot! I and my boys believe that Attica got the outcome that they wanted......a non payout because of a smaller crowd. But we still had a great time visiting with our friends, thanks guys and cant wait till Eldora...wooooohoooooooo!

The track owners really didn't care, they already had everyone's money. The worse thing about this is on the make-up date of June 8, the racetrack will get the all-stars back for the purse shortened rain-out feature and then another complete (WEEKLY) program with all of the regular all-star drivers in attendance probably for $2000.00 to win. It will be a huge surprise if the purse is better than a regular Friday night program. Once again, Fans, Owners and Drivers are the ones that get ripped off.

Attica pays 2,500 hundred to win on a regular night if memory serves me right. Most if not all of the allstar teams run there on the series' off dates so they would be there anyways. Don't get me wrong, I think the plug was pulled to early last night but as long as Mr. Borres doesn't try to jack the ticket prices up for the makeup date there isn't alot anyone can say. It does suck for the people that travelled long distance yesterday though. Promoters everywhere should keep that in mind before they decide to pull the plug on a show.

Are you serious? 2500 to win at a regular show.....holy smokee's Lernerville ( my homey track) pays 1400 I believe and its rated top 10 in the country. But the thing is our regular friday night shows suck for the sprint class. Bout the best we have is Ed Lynch JR. Out the Grove way though I believe that they pay 2500 to win and they have the best weekly sprint class accross the country. Its almost an Outlaw show there every week. We should go out Powerslave, Ive only made it there 3 times and Im feeling another trip.....we could make a weekend out of it. I will cross reference the Hagers weekend deal and the Grove to see if there are any make-up races going on out there. Maybe we will get lucky and one of us can hit the lottery and we could take a bus....lol.....whaddaya think?

Fremont also pays $2500 to win - Attica and Fremont have one of the best weekend packages around - much like the Grove and Lincoln. Great racing, good weekly car counts, good crowds, and the tracks are only about 30 - 40 minutes apart. I love the fact that they are both within an hour drive of my house.
